What happened in Turkish football today? 17/04/2020

Turkey needs to decide about resuming league itself.

With daily newly cases in Turkey is being between 4,000 - 5,000 does provide that its been stabilised but without doubt this stabilising is not with amounts which would be seen as good development and could be too high to restart season if it continues in such manner.

With taking account that we still didnt see response of cases from people coming out to streets prior to curfew and this week people coming out still keeps worry what would happen to statistical case in Turkey with more people not seeing this optimistic. Once again its crucial to remind here that it is virus which makes decision about life going to normality or not. UEFA does look to provide some pressure to end season but its need to be remembered that if things will go wrong their would be also consider and even postpone its tournaments, therefore it is important to follow guide of UEFA but does need to make decision individually.

Therefore, whatever decision of restarting season in June would be made it needs to be done according to situation which Turkey would be on that period.

If season would be competed, it can be played in one city.

If there is still some possibility for league to be resumed in June, possibility of it playing with supporters does look to be even less right now due of numbers we having in country.

Even if green light would be given for league to take place, its still will not be able to play with supporters as risk, still unclear if it would be higher or lower, but would be existing to be infected and virus to be spread for sure. Therefore, there are some suggestions of how to compete season which includes playing in one city which is been discussed both in Turkey and around world as an attempt to reduce travelling of teams in country hence rising risks of getting positive tests of Covid 19. With no supporters will not be accepted in high opportunity there will not be much issue of home advantage even if it would be played normally. Other advantage would be for clubs to be able to be more or less in same area for all 18 teams which would lead for control of players and check their conditions from virus.

This option is not been discussed in Turkey very actively but its need to  be taken into consideration for league to be resumed in manner to be safe for clubs.

Supporters might not be willing to go to games if allowed.

One thing is certain things in football in Turkey as in other countries would change dramatically and clubs would need to be changed directly.

Even through media, clubs and supporters are showing willingess that if season would be allowed, how much it would be put into reaction. In footballing world, quite naturally, football among being competitive sport with its own world to some extend, in some extend its also being spectacular sport which hence include supporters filling stadiums rooting their teams. Since this is how we all have seen this games, even before it was industrialised its naturally for everyone demanding to be games played with fans. But would those same fans come to games if leagues will be resumed with them. Excluding people who STILL not aware of circumstances of virus, most people might not risk to visit games when their would be taken place to full gathering. Supporters would like to visit and miss stadiums now, but when time of buying actual ticket their would thing about health and common sense.

Again this is view of blogger, but it does look like it would be hard to fill stadiums full even when it would be resumed with supporters.
