Arda Turan ends his national team career but doesnt show signs of regret.
Turkish National Team and Barcelona player Arda Turan, who by far from his achievements would be seen as best player at the country right now, has provided an action which should not be accepted by any team, country around the world. Action which was done yesterday is not enough to end his footballing career at national team, but in normal circumstances would end with an arrest.
Following Turkish National Team friendly against Macedonia at the plane which was flying to the training camp in Slovenia, Arda Turan has attacked verbally towards 70-year old sports journalist Bilal Merse using foul language and intending to give physical attack. The rumour states that inhumane action by Arda has been done due of criticism towards of bonus crises which took place during Euro 2016 tournament and afterwards. It is known that journalist was just sitting at his seat when Arda Turan has approached him at nervous manner. Bilal Mese plans rightly to open criminal case against Arda. Following this actions, Turkish National Team has taken away from the squad for World Cup Qualifier against Kosova on 11th June. Later, at press conference, Arda Turan has announced his end of career from Turkish National Team to empty conference room, as all journalists have left when he start talking to them. Interestingly, Arda Turan states that he has no regret of his actions and likely to act similarly in this kind of situation.
Now one of the main questions is reaction of the Barcelona and approach of him as his behaviour might lead for negative image to the club. But in other hand, Barcelona could see it as internal issue between him and Turkish journalists.
Turkish National Team were not focussed to Macedonia game.
Coming to the yesterday international friendly game between Macedonian National Team and Turkish National Team is unfortunately is difficult game to provide any analysis as both sides could not get into the mood of the game and has shown signs of tiredness after long season.
It needs to be stated that playing international friendly game just after Super League is over, which is not mistake of FIFA but mainly of TFF as it has ended Super League so late compare to other countries around Europe. Quite naturally high number of the players has been switched off physically and with motivation and has big issues at creating any dangerous chances. In fact, at the game where Turkish National Team was expected to dominate it was Macedonia which has been looked closest to the victory, and thats taking account that their play great football either. Their did score 2 goals but both were counted as offside. Unfortunately, the recent issues at the national team including Arda Turan actions yesterday at the plane does provide negative image to the side especially in Turkey. This needs to be stop as national team has always been as only thing keeping footballing fans and in big tournaments whole nation as one, strong and together.
As been mentioned yesterday, as the opponent of this week World Cup Qualifier will be Kosovo there is not much to worry about but still it would be expected to show better performance and show more focus to the game on 11th June.
Fenerbahce head coach Dick Advocaat has failed to use squad at their best last season.
Fenerbahce's Super League 2016-17 season would be certainly be a season to forget as in previous years it has been fighting for league title even when not becoming one. As the team always aiming for league title it is not acceptable for them to end season with more than 10 points behind champions.
Fenerbahce head coach Dick Advocaat even through was right to state that it wasnt squad which he was wishing for, he still had enough time to find how to use this team to his maximum and in fact did show signs of this towards end of the 1st half of the season. The fact that fans didnt come much to the games did also affect team to improve their performance. But if team is not performing fans will not come to come either, so both are related to each other and in fact its team which should bring fans to games not other way round. Now Aykut Kocaman would become officially head coach of Fenerbahce in upcoming days and despite of having many criticism by some part of club, for his actions towards Alex and playing too much defensive football, there is strong expectation of him to push team forward.
Fenerbahce needs to get strong transfers during summer transfer window but in same time ones who would perform as it does look like main opponent for everyone at the league next season will be Besiktas again.
