Basaksehirspor has transferred Feyenoord player Eljero Elia.
Basaksehirspor has made transfer deal with Feyenoord star player Eljero Elia for 2+1 years with 1.5 million euro transfer fee and hence showing to everyone that it does have a great aims both at the Super League and at the Europe during upcoming season.
With ending season at the 2nd place and fighting for the league title until last week, Basaksehirspor has got right to compete at the Champions League 2nd qualifying round which led for a team to raise its plank for next season. One of the most shocking news from today could be seen that the Galatasaray doesnt plan to extend its contract with its legendary player Sabri Sarioglu whose name has been associated with Galatasaray in similar manner as Steven Gerrard with Liverpool.
Of course, comparison between Steven Gerrard and Sabri Sarioglu has been ended here as compare to Gerrard, Sabri did recieve lots of criticism during his performance and for many years team tried to find replacement for him but always failed. In fact, one of the coaches did state that we did everything to find alternatives but have always returned to him. In fact, it would be interesting also reaction of fans and generally for this decision as the player has been criticised a lot but again its hard to imagine player at other team as player did state that he might end contract if he will not stay at the team. It would be hence interesting to see his actions from now on, as Samsunspor and Goztepe are among teams interested to transfer him and make their squad stronger again.
Sabri is among players whose could recieve number of criticism and asking questions like "isnt there any alternatives for him" but in same time you cant imagine him at other club. What would happen from now on would be clear in upcoming days.
Besiktas assistant coach Tamer Tuna would persude head coach career.
The talks about Besiktas assistant coach Tamer Torun living the team to persude his personal accomplishments and looking for new challenges has been surrounding at the media since Besiktas has raised its league title at the Vodafone Park. Right now this has become official as Besiktas has announced him leaving the team.
Without doubt at the successes of the team, assistant coach play an important role at the achievement and to some extend are unseen heroes without doubt winning 2 seasons back-to-back for Besiktas would been harder without him. But in same time it should be seen quite naturally for Tuna to aim for personal achievements and with Senol Gunes staying at the team, quitly rightly so, becoming head coach at own club would not be an option for now so here comes an option to seek it somewhere else. It does look according to rumours that closest club to appoint Tamer Tuna right now is Osmanlispor and in fact the announcement would come out in upcoming days. Of course its hard to know specifically how successfully Tamer Tuna would be as head coach with more and difficult responsibilities from now on, but one thing is certain he would gather many aspects he has learned from Senol Gunes and try possibly to provide similar style at least during his first years.
Tamer Tuna certainly has played an important with league titles as assistant coach but as been mentioned being head coach is different matter but there is no reason why he might not be successful but some time would be needed for him as its totally different responsibility.
