What happened in Turkish football today? 07.02.2016
Besiktas return to league in same attacking football as their shown before New Year.
There was lots of questions regarding of how Besiktas would return to the Super League after postponement of the two games due of weather conditions and that it could lose concentration which it had at first half of the Super League. However, by winning against Gaziantepspor with 4:0 scoreline and playing attacking football it had shown that it continues as it did before winter break.
The performance of the key players of the team which were present continued in same manner as their performed before New Year and was providing top football and with also new-signed player Marcelo and later joined Alexis Delgado at the game has felt very comfortable at the game. Taking account that Gaziantepspor has actually started pretty good almost scoring at 14th second of the game and actually had good control of the game it was good to see Besiktas changing the story of the game by goals at end of the first half. Meanwhile, Besiktas player Mario Gomez has also scored two goals at 2nd half and has led team to win with 4:0 and made him top of the goal-scoring table with 15 goals.
Besiktas has shown to everyone at the league and especially Fenerbahce that team did not affect by them making 2 out of 2 while Besiktas was not able to win and had played great football, even through the loss by Fenerbahce on Friday has played some roll at today confidence. Besiktas carries on playing attacking football and showing its great team play.
Coming to Gaziantepspor, team has played pretty good at the game but didnt manage to pass Tolga Zengin who by the way had extra additional motivation with competition with Denis Boyko. Despite of result, Gaziantepspor did show good attacks occasionally and can find number of goals against mediocre teams in rest of the season.
Trabzonspor has lost Akhisar Belediyespor twice in one week.
Akhisar Belediyespor has one once win against Trabzonspor during the week as the both teams have met in the mid-week at the last 16 stage of Turkish Cup where Akhisar has won with 1:0 scoreline. In today's game Trabzonspor has provided a bit more resistance as the game has ended with 2:1 scoreline but still signs of poor performance by Trabzonspor were obvious.
Trabzonspor problems has been continue even through occasionally at this season it shows some improvement in amount of few of the games it has got another bad result which has come with poor performance. Akhisar Belediyespor compare to Trabzonspor had much more motivation and has controlled game at the better way, thinking of the attacking football and hence scoring goals as game progressed with one from penalty at the 80th minute. Only positive side for Trabzonspor was for Muhammet Demir to score his first goal as it was his main reason why club has purchased him from Eskisehirspor. Muhammet Demir would play an important role at the upcoming weeks, if he carries on scoring.
Trabzonspor currently has closed season and would just try to aim at continuing at positive note and start planning for next season as those only things which is left. Of course, even if it has no chance of getting any title, fans of club still deserve good football from their team.
Even through lately Akhisar Belediyespor performance has been dropped it still strongly fights for European spot and this win is important for them to raise motivation for upcoming games. Akhisar Belediyespor has good potential to get strong results this season.
Galatasaray players have lost concentration to the Super League.
Apart of last 30 minutes at the game against Konyaspor, Galatasaray has performed in the way which would qualify the team has gave all of the fight at the league and seems to lack motivation, morale and lack of targets for the rest of the season.
Following game against Osmanlispor at the 19th week of league, it was stated that Galatasaray has lost its chances to become champions but there was still expectation that club players will carry on playing good football at least for several weeks. However, at the game against Konyaspor
Galatasaray has failed to create any chances until 55th minute and hence has shown that it has thrown white flag for this season. With also internal and external issues surrounding the club and possibly distracting number of players it will be expected that rest of the seasons we might see weak Galatasaray especially at the league.
Galatasaray would return to the Turkish Cup quarter-final 1st leg game against Akhisar Belediyespor on Wednesday , at the front where it seems to have bigger aims and for now providing better football. If we would see once again good football on that game, than it could be said that all attention is given to Turkish Cup and Europa League for the team.

Rizespor 1:1 Eskisehirspor
Akhisar Belediyespor 2:1 Trabzonspor
