Antalyaspor provided shock result to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce has recieved unexpected and surprising result from Antalyaspor with 4:2 scoreline during 20th week of the Super League. Apart of losing with such unexpected scoreline against Antalyaspor, Fenerbahce didnt show much activity and could be referred as one of the worst games of the season in sense of performance.
As it is known Antalyaspor head coach Jose Morais is currently at the hospital for feeling unwell from midweek and would stay at the hospital for 10 days at least. This development does seem to look that provided extra motivation rather than distraction towards players and also with great performance by Samuel Eto'o Antalyaspor has provided very good performance at the game. Compare to Fenerbahce, Antalyaspor had provided much attacking football while Fenerbahce had trouble at the controlling the ball during the game. The players of the Fenerbahce has made a vision to viewers that there were not focussed to the game today even after conceding the goal.
Recent performance of the Fenerbahce has been praised several times at this blog and it had provided view that it will be hard to beat them however mainly with itself poor performance has stopped this unbeatable period during today's game. Fenerbahce should take lessons from this game if it wants to get league this season. Also remembering that Besiktas has played 3 games less than Fenerbahce, and with 5 point difference should provide some worry at keeping its leadership with 3 games in hand.
Antalyaspor meanwhile got very important win today and would provide hope for the team to once again go up at the standings and get far away from relegation zone. Antalyaspor as a team was always able to be team at least at midtable but due of negative results seemed itself in unpleasant area. This win and raise motivation could provide new beginning to the team.
Galatasaray being out of league title race would affect team concentration.
As Galatasaray has lost its chances to get league title at the end of the season, it is now more focussed to keep its 3rd place at the table and it would play game tomorrow against Konyaspor who are only 1 point behind them. It is sure, that priorities of the team as been mentioned several times at our blog has been drastically changed.
Looking at the things realistically it could be said that Galatasaray really hope this season is Turkish Cup and if being lucky some chances are at the Europa League and being big "4" club the moment when you are outside of title race, you are as team start losing concentration and start getting negative result among positive. Teams like Konyaspor whose main aim was in first place top half of the table have better concentration and to some extend this factor might make Konyaspor slightly favourite at the game. Right now, Galatasaray needs to play like it can still become champion if it wants to get good results and secure its third place at the table.
Konyaspor more focus into the game and still having strong aim to finish at 3-4 positions at the table does make them slightly favourite and would surely provide its best football at tomorrow. If Konyaspor believes it can win, it could get that result tomorrow evening.
Both Tolga Zengin and Denis Boyko would fight for goalkeeping place.
Besiktas today has signing ceremony of its new players Alexis Delgado, Denis Boyko and Marcelo who surely would bring new blood to the team. All of this players would have bigger role especially to the Marcelo who would be able to fill the space left by Ersan Gulum who have left to the China.
However, the biggest focus would be given to the goalkeeping competition between Tolga Zengin and Denis Boyko, as performance of both goalkeepers would affect to players. With Tolga Zengin surely seeing himself as main goalkeeper and Boyko being best Ukrainian goalkeeper the fight for the spot would be fierce. Boyko did state that he knows that Tolga Zengin is high quality goalkeeper but he doesnt intend to stay as substitute. So, at the goalkeeping front there will be big fight which would only help Besiktas in upcoming weeks.
One thing is certain, with none of those two goalkeepers not being secure right now would mean both would provide best football in upcoming games.
