Fenerbahce is favourite as Antalyaspor has many distracting problems right now.
The focus once again will be given towards Turkish Super League after 1 week break with starting of the game between Antalyaspor and Fenerbahce as the fight for the title race carries on with Istanbul side and Besiktas. Fenerbahce would be surely coming to the game with the better motivation than Antalyaspor at the 20th week game.
The system of the Fenerbahce gameplay has been so settled with successes both at the Super League and Turkish Cup that among high motivation of the players and trust of the fans, the system which Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira was aiming at is now working perfectly. The performance of the team has become much more organised compare to start of the season and regardless of common result of 1:0 this season, Fenerbahce has recieved what it wants with great performance of the 2016 year and aiming to provide more pressure to Besiktas with a win tomorrow.
Meanwhile, Antalyaspor morale and motivation is a low right now especially been out from Turkish
Cup from Konyaspor, tournament which it was taking very seriously as final will be in Antalya. With also health issues of coach Jose Morais staying at hospital during the game would affect team psychologically. Antalyaspor needs to keep its head free from this issues for the game tomorrow if it wants to get any result, but it is hard task for a team.
Galatasaray makes look FFP issues solveable when it is much more complicated than that.
Galatasaray treatment of Financial-Fair Play according to statements of club CEO Dursun Ozbek provides an image that club is not aware of the seriousness of the danger which it has with UEFA. With head coach Mustafa Denizli, saying that their defence is strong enough to prevent ban from European tournaments next season provides too much self-belief into solving very complex issue.
Dursun Ozbek is right when he says that current situation is not his fault and not any foul-doing were done in this season, however UEFA doesnt look at that and more worried at the economical condition of the club in general right now. Which is debt of the Galatasaray is way above the limit which UEFA has requested with the possibility that it will not be reduced in upcoming years to wanted level. Surely, Galatasaray are working currently with strong defence which it provide to the UEFA during the month if it doesnt want to recieve ban. But situation seems to be much serious than it is shown to us by club.
Of course, reasons for such statements could be for fans to not get panicking but in same time it would be smart to keep fans to be prepared for worst. To some extend administration had done that by saying straight away that it could recieve fine, but providing image that it wold solve this issue could would provide anger and shock to fans if it recieves ban.
Besiktas done right thing to sell Ersan Gulum.
The most talked country in the footballing world in January was surely China with its high transfer offers with high number of them being agreed taking place in transfer window. Number of those transfers has been surrounding from Turkey and across the world generally, with latest Besiktas player Ersan Gulum being signed to Hebei China Fortune for 7 million euro transfer fee.
It was known that Besiktas had wanted to keep Ersan Gulum but it does seem like the offer which was given to Gulum was which he could not reject. Being the club who cares of its players and its performance to the team, Besiktas realised that Ersan Gulum staying at club will done more harm to him and more importantly to team itself. It was correct decision to sell Gulum as it had prevented issues within the club and also got extra cash which it could use in defence of FFP and use it in transfer window in summer.
Besiktas also has declined an offer from China for its player Jose Sosa staying at the politics of not selling its player in winter, with Ersan Gulum being exception of case.
