Fear of Galatasaray to attack at home could lead for elimanation of them at this stage.
In yesterday game against Lazio at the Europa League last 32 1st leg game against Lazio, Galatasaray has decided to play defensive football which could be seen as dangerous and interesting move taking account that game was played at home.
Interestingly, this decision by Galatasaray head coach Mustafa Denizli to have defensive performance which was dominated by 5 defenders went as advantage towards Lazio who seem to be happy to obtain draw as a result in the Istanbul. Italian clubs historically were known to play more economically and defensively at away games and do more attacking football at home games. In fact it is how it should be in 2 leg system games, defence at away and attacking at home. Therefore, this defence strong team could be more be scare of Mustafa Denizli and lack of trust towards his player rather than tactics. Mustafa Denizli needs to be more brave if he wants to bring better result at return game.
Right now, despite of draw result, Lazio has upper hand with playing at home and having away goal. It is certain that even if Lazio would defend with its best way, which it can do, it doesnt even need to score a goal as 0:0 draw would make them go through. The fear of the opponent by Galatasaray has brought this danger of qualifying right now.
No supporters at Bursaspor game could affect fast-paced perfomance of Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce after an impressive win against Lokomotiv Moscow at Europa League and Kasimpasa at Super League, would play very important and difficult game against Bursaspor. It is certain for a team to keep its high morale and motivation it needs a win against Bursaspor tomorrow.
The game meanwhile would be played without supporters which is obviously is not good news for Bursaspor, Fenerbahce, supporters and viewers at the TV. Fenerbahce would like to carry its fast-paced style of football against Bursaspor which could be difficult to achieve without supporters as their driving force for this performance to any team, even when its given by opponent supporters. In addition, Bursaspor has always been tough opponent for Fenerbahce and had stopped numerous times their good runs with a good result, in fact Bursaspor is among toughest team to beat each season regardless its position at the table.
Coming to Bursaspor, it could actually use to some extend the supporters ban to its advantage as it been stated the lack of supporters could affect towards performance of the Fenerbahce players. Also, with Bursaspor head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu has shown good performance so it is tough game for Bursaspor, not the one which it wanted in-between Europa League games.
Besiktas administrators seems to lift Super League cup before it was given to them.
Besiktas administrators has been using words such like it will become certainly champions of this season at Super League could provide some danger to the focus of the players and performance. This certainty which administrators should be used in more conservative manner as it could bring relaxation to everyone at the club.
Actually, Besiktas administrators during 1st half of the season has used more conservative words emphasising that its too early and it needs to focus into performance than talking about league title.
However, after New Year its been observed, at least by me, that club administrators, especially club CEO Fikret Orman and 2nd CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi start using word champions way too often.
