Galatasaray has got derby win and also lifted cup on same night

Galatasaray has lifted 2022-23 Super League Cup at its own stadium after beating Fenerbahce with confident 3:0 scoreline hence putting cherry in the top of the cake of this season.

It needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray didnt have lots of training session prior to this derby game as whole club and players has been more quite naturally focussed into celebrating its title but when coming on field they have managed to show top level game with providing right amount of pressure. If this has been game which would decide title as many people anticipated, it would be without doubt different game and Fenerbahce would be able to provide much more resistance but still it needs to be mentioned that Galatasaray would be coming out as favourite.

It wasnt certain if Galatasaray would win game but they performed and got result which would be suitable for title winners and has raised level of celebration of its title for sure.

Fenerbahce has become demotivated after conceding goal and red card. 

Even through Turkish sports community does provide criticism towards Fenerbahce performance in this specific derby game, it would be noted that club did come negatively affected from losing title chances and conceded goal had its effects.

As been noted above, Galatasaray were favourites even if it was game which would decide league winners but without doubt if that was case Fenerbahce would have shown stronger performance and did show better reaction after conceding goal. It needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce didnt start game badly and did attempt to have some chances, but after conceded that crucial goal from Nicolo Zaniolo and later on game red card of Luan Peres has led for side to lose belief and concentration.

Now, Fenerbahce would need to focus on Turkish Cup final on 11th June and to show top game and forget about league in such short time.

5th spot in the league will be decided by Basaksehirspor and Trabzonspor game

With getting back-to-back wins, Trabzonspor would be entering to last game with a chance to end season at 5th spot as it being 2 points behind Basaksehirspor who it would meet against.

Even through it could be noted that apart of prize money, there is not much difference from 6th and 5th spot it still would be playing against its direct opponent for 5th spot and hence in sense of prestige would be aiming to end season with win and higher spot. Stating that, it would be playing against side which has been shown top level game for long time and hence would not accept to be dropped and also would like to keep morale high prior to Turkish Cup against Basaksehirspor and hence would be aiming for win.

Trabzonspor due of recent form of both sides would be coming out as favourite as it would be aiming to end season at high note.
