Turkey got 5 point advantage over Wales with getting well-deserved win.
Turkish National Team has got highly deserved win against Wales as it has shown one of the best performance in recent period and has dominated whole game and with 2 disallowed goals and also not converting penalty from Calhanoglu, two goals from Umut Nayir and Arda Guler let for justice to appear.
Turkey did get a very important advantage after Wales did lose surprisingly to Armenia in previous weeks, would mean that winning at Samsun would provide an important advantage to get to the Euro 2024 and side did come out in such advantage. Also with red card from Wales which has been deserved one, did make things easier on attacks but it could be mentioned that Turkey has been better side before that moment. Meanwhile, it needs to be mentioned that disallowed 1st goal even through does look to be an offside in all fairness, did raise questions why there were not offside line drawn which has been criticised. Samsunspor signs Okan Kocuk for 3-years.
Samsunspor has signed goalkeeper Okan Kocuk for 3-years after few hours his contract has been over at Galatasaray as Kocuk would be able to get some playing time as he has been 2nd man behind Fernando Muslera for long time.
It needs to be mentioned that Okan Kocuk is being good goalkeeper as he did show in some numerous occassions at Galatasaray in few games he got chances, but being 2nd man behind Fernando Muslera has led him to be not recieving playing time. Right now he got an important opportunity to become main goalkeeper at newly-promoted and without doubt show his capacity in regular basis at the Super League while Samsunspor did get an important player who would provide an important help to help side with its aim to stay at top league at the end of upcoming season.
Hence, this has been a good move both parties and finally Kocuk would recieve playing time which he deserved for long time.
Gokhan Gonul has ended his footballing career.
Rizespor player Gokhan Gonul has announced that he has ended footballing career after 25-years professional contract where his highest performances has been at Fenerbahce and to some extend at Besiktas.
Gokhan Gonul has shown himself to be one of the main midfielding players during his playing career and did play also important role at Fenerbahce last title and had a great vision when creating chances with being an effective midfielder and in some occassions winger. Without doubt, during his playing career he did show high level performance with all his effort and hence did get some games which has been memorable among Fenerbahce, Besiktas and other clubs. His level should be an example of new generation players at midfielding for sure.
Hence, Gokhan Gonul did mark his place at Turkish football with pushing teams where he played into forward with his performance.
