Irfan Can Kahveci has prevented Latvia to have surprise result against Turkey
Turkish National Team has got an important win against Latvia especially during week where Wales has lost game, but as being with it own specific style it has won in very stressful performance and has provided lots of stress to its viewers when it didnt need to.
Turkey without doubt did win an important game at the game where it must had to do and has got this outcome and has got an important advantage for ending group stage at top 2 position and hence get to the Euro 2024. However, it has got this outcome with providing very stressful performance and didnt provide very good performance with especially showing too much relaxed performance where opponent did get outcome with 1:1 scoreline. Negative aspects hence of the game is that Turkey didnt provide high level performance for 90 minutes but it did show good reaction after getting behind and did get ahead of the game every time game has been equalised. Meanwhile, it has been important for Irfan Can Kahveci also to score a winning goal on last minute as he did been criticised a lot at Fenerbahce during past season.
Latvia as it is known has been team which has been developing and improving in recent years despite of not having point in this group and it has shown why its being strong side, even through do all respect Turkey has allowed them. Even through Latvia would not be fighting for Euro2024, this performance does show it would not end group stage with 0 points.
Turkey has got an important win even through it has been tough game and with unsuspected source Armenia beating Wales has led for them to get into game against Wales would mean it would give them big advantage for 2nd spot.
Pendikspor has been promoted to Super League first time in its history.
Last team which would be discussed in this blog would be Pendikspor as it has been promoted to the Super League for first in history and even through did been performing at 1st league for many years in its history has never been promoted to top league.
Due of having limited squad and also not much successes in recent seasons it needs to be mentioned that Pendikspor possibly has been main surprise of season passed as it has ended at 3rd spot and has got ticket to Super League through play-off round even through it only played one game compare to Bodrumspor due of new regulations. There was historical win at Turkish Cup against Fenerbahce during 1998-99 season but apart of that there is not much successes at which Turkish football followers and especially outside of Turkey would be familiar. It needs to be mentioned that Pendikspor still needs to make strong competitive as current team is not ready for this high level and hence it would need to convince lots of Super League quality players with limited financial possibilities.
Pendikspor did write history with getting to the Super League with beating Bodrumspor but now it would need to make strong competitive side.
TFF CEO Mehmet Buyukeksi would be single candidate on 22nd June election
TFF has announced that its CEO Mehmet Buyukeksi would be running as single candidate for TFF CEO election as no other candidate wasnt approved until 15th June.
Despite of recieving lots of criticism for some of the clubs with most notably being Besiktas who has been unhappy with how points has been treated after Hatayspor and Gaziantep didnt complete season due of devastating earthquake it needs to be mentioned that all of the clubs did provide support to Mehmet Buyukeksi. It has been stated earlier on one of our blog entries that Mehmet Buyukeksi did show good performance in the position at short period of time when he did take post after unsuccessful previous administration. He did make some mistakes during his reign especially performance of referees but in overall he has done good job and there is belief as when he would have 3-year spell he would be able to push Turkish football forward with longer period.
Mehmet Buyukeksi would be running as single candidate for CEO election on 22nd June as there is many things need to be solved in Turkish football.
