What happened in Turkish football today? 30/03/2023

Quality differences has been factor at game against Armenia and Croatia.

Turkish National Team outcomes during first 2 games at the Euro 2024 qualifying stages has been decided more or less due of quality of sides, as Turkey won game where it didnt provide very good performance and while losing one which it has been more willing and attacking.

Turkey didnt provide very good performance against Armenia and has been got win due of being much more side as it shown comeback from 1:0 to 2:1 and also some good concentration and reaction while at the game against Croatia its been much better side with providing strong attacking game especially during 20 minutes but experience at top level and generally being better side has led for Croatia to get an important win. It needs to be mentioned that without doubt for rest of the campaign Turkey would need to take reference Croatia and recognise why it didnt manage to get better side against bronze winners of World Cup.

With both sides going to Euro from group does show that this outcome might not be too mich disaster but as been noted good result from home especially after win would been better result.

UEFA announced fines and bans to Turkish clubs.

UEFA has announced fines and bans of the Turkish teams during recent games at the European competition which has been mainly dominated from supporters behaviour.

It needs to be mentioned that compare for instance PFDK, UEFA disciplinary committee is being much more tolerated and fines and bans has been rarely given to Turkish clubs. However, without doubt some behaviour from Fenerbahce and Sivasspor during last games at Europa League and Conference League respectfully has led for UEFA to provide harsh decisions with providing fan ban to Fenerbahce and 44,000 euro fine and also ban towards Sivasspor for next game. In addition, Sivasspor player Hakan Arslan has recieved 3-game ban for foul during game. Also, Trabzonspor did recieve 20,000 euo fine.

This incidents which did happen has provided once again some negative view of Turkish supporters with UEFA providing right action.

Everyone defends own interests regarding point factor of teams which didnt complete league.

Discussion about decision regarding if games which would not be played by Hatayspor and Gaziantep should be not counted after devastating earthquake or not is carrying on as 7 clubs want for whole season while 4 are against it.

It needs to be mentioned that clubs which want for this decision are the ones which are been mainly affected as extra 6 points would mean to them that they would get closer to league title race and also at relegation zone. Hence, the factor which has been arised due of tragic events turns out at football world with self-interest once again. Since there is no majority meanwhile among Clubs Union, it is likely for TFF to keep this decision same as it tends to do before with similar factors. Meanwhile, statement from Besiktas that when UEFA decisions are being ignored or not, could go to them to be frank.

With clubs talking about fairness in this week, it needs to be mentioned that it is more to become into more winnable decision. Due of better continuity and reduction of crises, we are arguing that it is better to carry on league with same decision.
