What happened in Turkish football today? 27/03/2023

Turkey need to show much more better game compare to Armenia game.

Turkey are going to carry on its Euro 2024 qualifier against one of its main rivaries for top 2 spot and 3rd -placed World Cup side Croatia at the game where it would need to provide much more effective performance compare to Armenia game.

As been noted on previous posts, only positive aspects from Armenia game could be for getting winning start of this competition as it is being very crucial and also ending 1st week at the top spot with point advantage but it needs to carry on providing good performance. Turkey does have an advantage of playing at home with strong support from its own fans, which they tend to do all the time during national games especially when playing outside of Istanbul. Both sides are also very familiar with each other as they tend to play against each other for long time. Most important aspect for Turkey is to focus into providing strong and more aggressive game against Croatia and show balanced game both in defence and attack.

Croatia are coming out as favourites but motivation from 1st win, playing at home and confidence in the big game could provide some bonuses to Turkey during 90 minutes.

3 games per 5 games has been lifted for referees by TFF

Central Referee Committee has announced that rule of appointing 1 referee to 3 games out of back-to-back at 5 games as we entering to crucial weeks in the season.

It needs to be mentioned that this decision does show that TFF are lacking in its disposal high quality referees as numerically it has enough referees to go through this guideline but since many referees are not able to provide top level performance more referees which are been accepted as top ones would get games from now on until end of the season. Still, it would be important for Committee to pay attention mentally and physically to referees and not provide too much pressure and games towards them.

This could provide good outcome if it managed rightly but sadly there are times when such managements are not done as needed.

Kasimpasa makes deal with Kemal Ozdes

Kasimpasa has made deal to appoint Kemal Ozdes for another time as coach has been training Istanbul side for 2 times in previous times with getting some mixing results during that period.

Kemal Ozdes despite of having some mixing performances at Kasimpasa, does have strong advantage as he is aware of aims and potentiality of the team and hence would not have much issues at sorting issues which club is going through right now. To some extend, with coming towards end of the season Kasimpasa decided to play safe and in such critical moment for them this might be right decision as long as Ozdes would be able to provide some good results.

Hence, with availability and familiarity with club Kemal Ozdes has reasons to show some successful performance in this reign at club.
