What happened in Turkish football today? 07/02/2023

Unwanted news are coming from earthquake areas.

With number of people passing away coming close to the 6,000 people, we are recieving also some unwanted news from footballing community as 2 players were reported to be passing away under rubbles.

Yeni Malatyaspor player Ahmet Eyup Turkaslan and Kahramanmaras Istiklal player Taner Kahriman has been reported to be passed away under rupples following extensive works from yesterday to find players under rupples. This also reminds that works at earthquake areas are going pretty difficult as there has been two devastating earthquake and those happening in one of the coldest weeks in this season doesnt help at all as many rescue workers are unable to arrive to areas and cities which been affected. Among some heart breaking news there is also some news which brings some smile, as some people rescued. One of them has been Christian Atsu who has been among most followed player at worldwide football society.

Our page would be hoping that more news regarding rescues would be reported and death toll would not be taken place.

Leagues has been postponed until next week.

TFF has announced that Super League has been postponed for this week officially, stating that it would be resuming after 12th February, with games scheduled this week will take in upcoming weekend.

Among factor that some of the clubs, which include Hatayspor and Gaziantep are being located at cities which been affected by earthquake, there is also been a week mourning so in either way this would not been accepted. This week has also provided without doubt an opportunity for lots of players and clubs to focus into providing aid and help to affected areas.

This decision without doubt has been right one as whole country is going through difficult mourning period after devastating earthquake.

Sports community are doing everything to help earthquake affected areas.

Clubs and players are continuing to play an important role with providing aid and as much support as possible towards an areas which been affected by earthquake.

All of the teams has provided strong work with sending an aid which been send by high number of supporters who has shown respond to club calls and has been done in very organised manner as many trucks with helps has been seen. We also seeing actions which been done individually as Lincoln Henrique is willing to host family affected by earthquake, players sending donors and actively calling for they followers to do same. Besiktas are sending 40 construction trucks while Konyaspor is sending 100 compatible houses.

Such works would be continued by clubs and we call everyone who can also provide some help regardless how much you can to areas affected by war.
