What happened in Turkish football today? 17/02/2023



Strong togetherness has been pleasant at game against Basel.

Trabzonspor has managed to a win against Basel during Conference League 2nd round 1st leg at the game which been referred as more as game as whole stadium has shown support and unity following earthquake disaster which has happened in southwest of the Turkey.

Whatever would been result, Turkish community with showing such togetherness and reaction to the earthquake has been continued at the game as all supporters of the team has been showing strong support and focussing into devastation which been present from earthquake. Without doubt, choreography which been presented by supporters which beeen focussed to strongness of Turkish nation, being thankful to the rescue workers and also especially focussed into Mexican rescue dog Proteo who has been passed away during his works in Turkey. Coming to game it needs to be mentioned that Trabzonspor has shown some confident and strong performance and has got 1:0 scoreline and could even scored more. 

Main focus was to show togetherness at the game which it has managed that, ending game with win has been also good bonus for mood in such difficult time.

Atsu families trying to keep they hopes arrive.

Hatayspor player Christian Atsu families and friends hopes for finding his body arrive under rubbles at Ronessans Residences is still being arrive as rescue works are continuing.

With still seeing some rescue news after 12th days, whcih also did come from Hatay, does keep chances arrive as player agent and family are still pleasant close to the rubbles and trying to stay up-to-date from rescue workers as there is expectation that he would be found arrive. Latest development, meanwhile is being that his room has been located and now there is on-going works to find his arrive body hopefully somewhere at the rubbles.

We are still hearing some incredible stories from people being saved from rubbles and hopefully among Atsu we would hear much more.

Footbaling world continues to support aftermath of earthquake.

FIFA has donated 1 million dollars for earthquake which took place in Turkey and Syria which has been biggest news in fundraising and caring actions as country continues to show strong support and actions in such difficult times.

Turkish referee Umut Ozturk has attended into collecting aid and donations which has been collecting for earthquake victims which has also been an important action and so far been first refee to be reported even through it is confident to say that all referees has provided they share in fundraising. Among other events has been Besiktas player Salih Ucan has visited Omer in the hospital with giving his footballing shirt while Jorge Jesus has joined into blood donations center in Fenerbahce home Sukru Saracoglu stadium.

Donation and motivation action by all clubs around Turkey are continuing and without doubt would continue for long time after such devastating earthquake.
