What happened in Turkish football today? 05/10/2020

Galatasaray provided pretty dissapointing game against Kasimpasa

Galatasaray provided pretty dissapointing performance during Super League 4th week game against Kasimpasa as it did lose to game with 1:0 scoreline as opponents provided much more organised and forward-seeking performance compare to them.

It needs to be noted that Galatasaray without doubt continues its decline of performance which started from last week Fenerbahce game and been followed with Glasgow Rangers game in the Europa League. In fact, with such performances it has been expected that side would show some bouncing back at the Super League game against Kasimpasa but it did looked to be lacking that tempo due of old age of especially attackers and also playing 2 games per week. Only positive notes could be given to midfielders Etebo and Taylan Antalyali who did show pretty impressive game with prevening opponent to get high amount of the chances and also creating some opportunities which forward players did fail to show.

Therefore, this international break would help Fatih Terim to go through his squad and found issues which did come out during this period and aim for side to provide much more effective game in upcoming weeks.

Besiktas would need to solve its performance issues during 3-week break.

Besiktas continues with showing ineffective game with slow tempo as it did lose to Genclerbirligi to the side which didnt have good start of the season but compare to Istanbul side had better plan during game.

With such poor game from Besiktas it does provide some worrying issues not only for this games which been played but also for upcoming weeks as side does look to be lacking high level of motivation for most of the players looking like players dont believe themselves that their good get results which they are seeking for. Therefore, even through quality of players could be questioned of being in level of Besiktas which did come out due of financial issues in the side but even more worrying and important is being of not providing this fighting spirit. Biggest advantage for Besiktas is that among of international break it would enter to 5th week as bye team which would allow them to provide much more focussed training session finding ways to show most effective game in the end of the day with players getting closer to show collective game among playing style which Sergen Yalcin expecting from there for sure.

Besiktas has many issues to solve for this 3 weeks and whole technical staff with Sergen Yalcin would have difficult time with finding solutions.

Trabzonspor signs Vitor Hugo for 4-years

One of the eye-catching transfers which been made during transfer deadline has been signing of Trabzonspor attacker Vitor Hugo for 4-years.

Without doubt with losing Alexander Sorloth earlier during this summer transfer window and even through Benik Afobe did show some good game in previous weeks, it was visible that side needed to transfer some other attacker to provide effective attacking game without doubt. Hence, signing Palmeiras player for 4-years would be providing needed strength to side without doubt and help side to provide strong competitive game for rest of the season with possibly having some strong understanding with Afobe in upcoming weeks. It was known that Trabzonspor wanted to transfer him a lot and it did just that with strenghening its attack for upcoming games.

Therefore, ended its summer transfer deadline in good manner with getting player which could solve one of its on-going issues on the side for sure.
