What happened in Turkish football today? 30/09/2020

Galatasaray would have tough game against Glasgow Rangers.

Galatasaray would be getting into last step before getting to Europa League as it would be playing one of the well-known clubs Glasgow Rangers in capital of Scotland which could become pretty tough game.

Even through Glasgow Rangers head coach Steven Gerrard did state several times that Galatasaray would be coming as favourites to the game it needs to be noted that difference between sides is not as big as he makes clear. Due of having some good names and also experience with starting season in pretty good note does provide some advantage to the side for sure, but still their would be needing to show strongest performance. Galatasaray head coach Fatih Terim knowing importance of this fixture would come out with strong squad with only resting Radamel Falcao and also Arda Turan who currently has gribal infection. With this being single game, Galatasaray would need to stay focus for the game and provide strong performance in whole field and faster tempo compare to Fenerbahce game.

It would be tough game for Galatasaray but if their show strong performance there could be able to get to Europa League group stages.

Ankaragucu has transferred Torgeir Borven for 2+1 years.

Ankaragucu has transferred Torgeir Borven for 2+1 years as forward player did become best goalscorer on previous season in his native Norwegian league.

Without doubt one of the main areas which it needed to make effective transfer with good transfer budget would been an attack to have successful season and it does look like it did get that with Torgeir Borven. Possible issue which could be affected for club could be an adaptation in arleady started league, but hopefully for them he would get fast and would provide strong performance with high number of goals which could help them to end this season even in better performance than they could be seeking for this upcoming season as they priority would be without doubt to stay in the league at such tough season.

Therefore, this transfer could be seen as very effective for side and help them to get some important results at the season where 4 teams would be relegated.

Schalke 04 player Ozan Kabak got 4-game ban for spiting to Werden Bremen player

Schalke04 player Ozan Kabak has recieved 4-game ban and 15,000 euro fine for spitting into opponent during Bundesliga game against Werder Bremen player Augustinsson.

The incident did happen when after been fouled Ozan Kabak did look to be spitting purposefully to Augustinsson and did provide high level criticism from all bodies for such action if throw it is known that Kabak is well professional player showing respect on the field so it does raise some interesting aspect which player would not in usual conditions. Kabak later apologized stating that it was accident and angle of footage is misleading. Even through 4-game ban could be looking as harsh decision in same time if it was seen to be done purposefully by disciplinary committee it would be much harsher.

Therefore this ban could be seen due of carelessness, and without doubt would teach lesson for Kabak and other players to be careful when providing such actions at football fields during games.
