What happened in Turkish football today? 03/10/2020

Fenerbahce got crucial win against Fatih Karagumruk.

Fenerbahce has got very important win during Super League 4th week game against Fatih Karagumruk with 2:1 scoreline at the game which ended up being pretty stressfull for them but in overall it could be noted that side showed strong improvement compare to previous games.

Especially when looking in the beginning of the game it could be observed that Fenerbahce has started with focussing into attacking performance with fast tempo and creating opportunities which clearly showed side did come out for winning game. With creating high amount of the chances it did provide high level positions which did provide difficult moments for Fatih Karagumruk which led for Samatta to get his first goal on his 1st game with Fenerbahce continuing control of 1st half. However, it needs to be noted that following 2nd goal from Samatta, Fenerbahce did reduce tempo of the game which led for Fatih Karagumruk focussing into attacking level with giving all as it found penalty positions by Sebo at penalty decision due of hand ball. Following that position however Fenerbahce did lose that pace as game went into hand of Fatih Karagumruk with focussing into providing strong comeback for the side which led them to get another penalty and red card for Lemos. This time Fenerbahce goalkeeper provided great performance and focus with preventing Sebo to find 2nd goal from penalty and without doubt could be seen as most important key player as he did some crucial moments during whole game.

Even through Fatih Karagumruk did lose game it did show with its performance that it wasnt leaders of this league until this game by accident and provided view that it would be marking some crucial place this season.

Fenerbahce without doubt did come to game which it needed to win and even through it could be argued it didnt show its best game but still showed crucial improvement from previous games and gives hope for upcoming games.

Trabzonspor is unhappy with penalty decision in the end of the game

Turkish Super League 4th week game between Gaziantep and Trabzonspor has been, sadly, dominated with discussions and arguments regarding of penalty decision which led for Maxim to equalise scoreline and Trabzonspor to lose 2 points.

Trabzonspor does argue in that position that there wasnt penalty decision and prior to that position there was handball which led for them to end game with draw. It needs to be noted that this position is pretty highly talked especially when Flavio been send off twice in last 2 weeks which also been his only red cards in whole career. Still, it needs to be noted that in view of this blog it was correct decision since he did step into opponent player but in same time on previous position handball could be given easily. Meanwhile, even through Trabzonspor has right to protest and did lose points due of this, it is hard to state that there showed very good game being still very slow with level of tempo and lack of creativity and it does look like Trabzonspor head coach would need to focus into making side into more adaptive in attack to start getting good results for sure.

Trabzonspor aim during this international national break would need to focus how to make side more adapting for providing high level game in attacking side to get start getting goals.

Galatasaray would aim to get back its strong game against Kasimpasa

Following relegation from Europa League, Galatasaray would be getting to Super League as it would be playing against Kasimpasa aiming to enter to international break with high morale.

It needs to be noted that Galatasaray did start season at very good performance arguably showing best performance in league, but did show some decline during Fenerbahce and Glasgow Rangers which could be due of level of opponents and also tiredness from playing 2 games per week. Taking account that Kasimpasa only got one win so far during this season this game could be good opportunity for aiming to show effective game with good scoreline and rise morale and confidence. However, in recent years it needs to be admitted that Kasimpasa does show good game against Galatasaray so it could be pretty tought game for them as long as opponent would be focussing to show effective strong game for sure.

Therefore, Galatasaray would be aiming to show strong effective game but it wont be as simple as it looks for sure to them.
