What happened in Turkish football today? 27/07/2020

Basaksehirspor raises league title in its stadium.

Basaksehirspor has raised its Super League 2019-20 title in its own stadium in pretty modest event, as would be expected taking account number of its supporters club have and also Covid19 fighting process which country is going through.

Even through as been noted event itself has been pretty modest it has been well organised with including number of top singers from Turkish music industry, including Serdar Ortac who has written club's anthem song during previous season. In fact, that song been written due of fact that club has been getting close to winning title but making this song more meaningful (it contained words "those league titles are not enough for you") it needed to wait for another season. Still, regardless how well this event has been organised or not, this has been historical event for the club and quite rightfully everyone who is involved has deserved this title in pretty active manner.

Basaksehirspor of course cant afford to celebrate too much as in duration of 10 days it would play Europa League 2nd leg last 16 game against Copenhagen.

Galatasaray has made transfer deal with Emre Kilinc for 4 years

Galatasaray is been reported has made transfer of Emre Kilinc for 4 years who has earlier on day ended contract with Sivasspor among Mert Hakan Yandas.

It was known that both club and player been having transfer negotiations during mid-season and did in fact made transfer deal with him but its been decided for him to stay at Sivasspor as it was back them league leaders and did aim for title regardless how hard it would been. But right now its clear that both sides did make transfer deal which would be announced on 10th August, which is being 1st day of transfer window. Without doubt with Emre Kilinc being young player and providing high level performance which he showed and proved at Sivasspor he would provide high level performance with also him being supporter of Galatasaray would motivate him.

This is being 1st transfer for Galatasaray and could provide strong strengh for side for next season for sure.

Hatayspor made deal with Omer Erdogan

It is reported that Hatayspor made deal with coach Omer Erdogan providing and trust to young coach to provide high level performance in its 1st history at Super League next season.

With unexpected ending contract with Mehmet Altiparmak who brought side into Super League, in duration of one week it has made deal with Omer Erdogan who even through doesnt have experience at top league, has been in the side of historical Bursaspor league title side of 2010-11 season. As been noted due of his young age and coaching lower leagues side it is questionable is his experience is enough but again this could be best option which Hatayspor could be going with and both club and coach have opportunity to prove themselves in first season for both parties.

It would be interesting to see how Omer Erdogan would perform with Hatayspor next season for sure.
