What happened in Turkish football today? 16/07/2020

CAS would announce its decision of Trabzonspor ban from UEFA within 2 weeks.

Trabzonspor has provided its defence regarding of UEFA 1-year ban regarding with club not following FFP guidelines to CAS and it became clear that arbitration committee would announce its decision after 2 weeks.

It needs to be noted that with Trabzonspor without doubt showing strong improvement of its financial condition during recent periods thanks to successful focus into academy, selling some of its players and providing payment among most organised in Super League provides belief that it would be able to turn around case. With addition of CAS turning around Manchester City early this week without doubt also provides strong belief that case would be turned out. In fact, when decision of UEFA towards Trabzonspor has been seen as big surprise both by club and whole football community in Turkey and therefore there is big belief that UEFA made some mistakes in calculations and very likely this decision would be turned out by CAS.

Trabzonspor quite rightfully among administrator  has focussed into providing proofs of not doing any wrong doing and currently behaving like their would go ot Champions League next season.

Tomas Stjepan would start as Rizespor coach from next season.

Rizespor has announced that Tomas Stjepan has been appointed as club's head coach starting working from next season probably due of travelling ban which is in place right now or to allow him to provide full focus for next season.

Meanwhile, its not clear if club would be at the Super League for next season as it is being at relegation zone right now with needing at least 1 win to stay at the league as 7 clubs are entering to critical 2 weeks. It has been announced that temporary role of head coach for last 2 weeks would be taken by Mehmet Ali Karaca who would be aiming to side in the league which could be difficult task. Meanwhile, Stjepan would need to wait to see if he would be coaching side which would be at Super League or in league below but in either case he would be expected to provide successful job as he did show some good experience in Super League both as player and coach and familiar with technicalities of this league for sure.

This is being good appointment and we hope we would see his performance at top league for sure.

Alanyaspor has transferred Berkan Ismail Kutu for 4 years

Alanyaspor has transferred Sion player Berkan Ismail Kutu for 4 years providing strong trust for young player who could become potential star at Turkish football.

WIth this being 1st transfer for Alanyaspor who has transferred its 1st player during this summer transfer window, which didnt technically start, did provide general also of how transfers would be very likely made both by them and all Super League clubs. Main focus of this transfer window would be focus into young and potential Turkish star players which is both suitable for Berkan Ismail Kutu who is coming from one of the strongest Swiss sides. With signing for 4 years without doubt does provide look that Alanyaspor ,who are building side which could be fighting for Europa League spots every season, full trust towards player for future years.

Therefore, this is being investment for future with doubt for Alanyaspor, tactics which could be seen during summer transfer window.
