What happened in Turkish football today? 30/06/2020

Besiktas will not extend loan deal with Kevin Prince Boateng.

Besiktas doesnt consider to extend loan contract with its player Kevin-Prince Boateng and has informed this to Fiorentina due of more likely of high value of deal and also for player not providing continous high level performance even through he did some good moments in the club.

One of the first steps for this deal to be ending in short period of time is when both Besiktas and Fiorentina did come into agreement to raise option for automatic extension of the loan after player did play more then 10 games. It needs to be admitted that he did provide some good performance before Covid19 outbreak but as being player who travelled to Germany, his return hasnt been in high level. Still, it is more likely for Besiktas decision not to extend loan deal been related to finance issues since club quite understandably is how to reduce its spendings with having same time quality players.

It needs to be noted that Boateng did have short successful period and still has chance to show good game for 5 games but due of economical reasons would return to Italy.

Rizespor needed to talk to Caglayan before using extension option.

Rizespor has made it clear that decision from its player Ogulcan Caglayan to terminate contract following club move to extend contract with player is from player leaving side prior to crucial 5 games at the league.

With Caglayan hoping to be joining Galatasaray during summer transfer window, Rizespor administration did see an option which allows automatically to extend contract and possibly gain some cash from possible Galatasaray transfer. With being aware of Galatasaray showing interest and player wanting to join team, it aimed to make some cash. Even through such move has been made against player will and could be criticised, contract wise it didnt do anything wrong. Caglayan in his side did see this as prevention from club to provide calm and unproblamatic transfer to the side. In here, issue which been raised more or less from lack of communication, as Rizespor should have discussed regarding this option with Caglayan deal. If Rizespor did make clear that it would not made much issue with transfer and kept his fee low, this crises could be prevented.

Both sides are right on their own way but lack of talk from club created this issue and to some extend makes Caglayan reasonable.

Sevilla are interested to transfer Celta Vigo player Okay Yokuslu.

One of the interesting transfer news, as transfer window is going to openning soon in Europe, has been news that Sevilla are being interested to transfer Okay Yokuslu.

It needs to be noted that during recent season Okay Yokuslu has become one of the main players and provided some good performance which led him to be seen among key players in national team who provide high level performance in Europe. Quite naturally, such high level performance from him did raise attention from one of the main clubs in Spain, Sevilla who is showing serious interest to transfer him. Knowing quality of Yokuslu and improving of his it could be expected that he would show good performance in Sevilla if he joins him.

With transfer window being openning soon our blog as always would follow all developments both in Super League and Turkish players in Europe.
