What happened in Turkish football today? 15/07/2020
Umut Nayir has got negative result for Covid19 test.
Besiktas player Umut Nayir through his social media account has announced that he has got negative result for Covid19 tests after recieving several positive ones but stated that he would not be able to play for 2 weeks due of virus procedure being installed by TFF.
According to procedure, Umut Nayir needs to get another 2 negative results with 5 days in-between of two tests and with leagues to be completed during 11 days period it is pretty clear he will not be able to play in this two weeks. Meanwhile, it needs to be noted that even through his name has been circulating as one of the infected person, since Besiktas didnt announce this names we decided to keep it secret, same reason 2nd player is not announced. However, with Umut Nayir stating himself publicly its no need to keep on secret. Without doubt our page is glad to hear for recovery of Umut Nayir who is been asymptomic infected and hope for similar news to come from 2nd player.
Right now for sure, Umut Nayir should be focussing into upcoming season which for sure would be new beginning for his club.
Victor Ruiz terminated his contract with his club due of not recieving salaries.
Besiktas player Victor Ruiz, who has signed 3-year contract last summer, has terminated contract with his club for not recieving salary since Covid19 break while club plans to complain such issue through sports court.
It needs to be reminded that due of this issue it would been expected and has been taken at many clubs for some players to be asking for recieving salary at same amount while clubs would aim for reduction. Risks of this leading to termination of contract, especially with foreign players, has been expected and been discussed at our blog even during Covid19 break frequently. Recent name which has resigned from his contract has been Ruiz. Even through in one side action of Ruiz could be understood, Besiktas statement that player didnt attend to any talks regarding salary revision does provide some bad ill from Ruiz and lack of cooperation which followed during this season. This example is very likely would even provide more focus into focussing into younger and not very expensive in this summer for sure.
Victor Ruiz has right to resign for not recieving payment but he needed to acted professionally and dont turn down calls for reduction of salaries from his club.
Senol Gunes is for foreign player limit.
With discussion regarding of reduction of foreign players in duration of 2 seasons from 14 to 10 has got support from Turkish National Team head coach Senol Gunes who been provided idea for this in previous statements.
It needs to be noted that foreign player limit is being treated in two different manners. In one side, it is believed that having unlimited limit would affect negatively to national team with getting successful effect to national side as players will not get enough playing time. On other hand, foreign players limit, especially in countries which dont have high-level players, clubs would not able to compete in same levels at European competition. In addition, broadcasters which are being usually paid TV, would prefer to have stars as it raises watchability and sells more. For instance, Premier League which doesnt have limit, clubs has always been successful in Europe but national side failures been always blamed due this. Hence, its natural for national side to have that view while clubs different. In fact, if Senol Gunes has been club coach he would been against limit. This could be seen as contradiction, but also related to his position and priority.
TFF did state meanwhile that this foreign limit would be kept and its final decision and will not be changed soon.
