Trabzonspor provided its best performance on Turkish Cup final following Covid19 break.

Trabzonspor has provided probably its best performance since restart of the season following Covid19 break, in one of the most important games of season, without providing positive and highly organised performance at whole feed against Alanyaspor during Turkish Cup final.

It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor provided pretty strong attacking game during 1st half with getting into front from 1st minute of the game with Alexandr Sorloth and Abdurakadir Omur from start of the game providing high level performance with getting into high amount of the attacks which led for both players to score 2 goals with Sorloth providing great assist in 1st goal. However, and probably more importantly Trabzonspor provided very strong and confident defensive game and even through still allowed Alanyaspor to get some chances, in overall provided full focus. Trabzonspor caretaker coach Eddie Newton has got title during his 2nd game and needs to be mentioned that did provide very good performance prior to game and also during final itself with making very right decisions during game.

Hence, Trabzonspor without doubt has been better side during this final game and did get well deserved result with ending season with one cup even through it aimed for double.

Alanyaspor didnt provide agressive attacking game against Trabzonspor

Alanyaspor on their part didnt provide attacking performance which was expected from them prior to game with referring how side performed during whole season but this could be related from nervousness from playing its 1st final in its history.

Alanyaspor did provide some good organised performance and did have some strong attacking moments during 2nd half so its hard to state that side been poor on the final game but their did lack that pushing factor and didnt provide much agressive attacking game especially during 1st half which to some extend went into hand for Trabzonspor especially after getting ahead of the game. Alanyaspor head coach Erol Bulut, who is expected to be joining Fenerbahce, at short period of time does provide great performance in mediocre sides but sadly still didnt win Turkish Cup final game, as he did good opportunity to do also last season. Stating that it needs to be remembered that during both games his opponents did have good season. Still, despite of losing this game Alanyaspor did have great season providing positive football and even enjoyed leadership in league and would enjoy European football next season.

Alanyaspor also being among sides which didnt have great return to football after Covid19 break and this factor did play role here for sure too.

Trabzonspor wins its 9th Turkish Cup title by beating Alanyaspor.

Trabzonspor wins its 9th Turkish Cup title with beating Alanyaspor with 2:0 scoreline providing much more organised performance compare to their opponents and also managed not to concede goal which tend to be one of its biggest issue during this season and this taking account that Alanyaspor did provide pretty strong attacking chances.

With Trabzonspor aiming to win Super League during this season,it was aiming to win Turkish Cup to provide some forgiveness of its losing league title and it needs to be admitted that Trabzonspor did provide very good preparation for game which led for them to provide strong organised performance during both in the attack and defence style. On other side, either due of too much pressure from playing its first final game on its history and hence feeling nervous, Alanyaspor didnt provide as good performance as would be expected from them but it needs to be noted that following Covid 19 break it also been side which didnt get into high level performance which it did show prior to it in the league and this could been affected with their performance. It needs to be noted that with scoreline with 1:0, Alanyaspor did provide much more attacking game but it did let them to provide advantage to opponent which did figure out how to play against their opponents. It needs to be noted that to some extend it did look lack of concentration during 1st half with providing much more panic and uncontrollable game. Meanwhile, it needs to be added that Alanyaspor head coach Erol Bulut who has provided positive game unfortunately did lose final for back-to-back but him being on finals back-to-back and ending leagues at Europa League spot provides how potential he has.

Trabzonspor without doubt did compete season with winning Turkish Cup which been good opportunity to make themselves forgiven for losing title and did provide its best performance following Covid 19 break.

Super League would be moving to 18 to 20 sides league, with next season being connecting season.

TFF following requests from Club's Union and also meeting it had with Sports and Youth Minister Muharrem Kasapoglu, it has made an important historical decision to raise number of sides for next season to 21 sides, which would be dropped to 20.

As been noted in our previous posts, on this matter timing itself has been done in right manner since if this decision would been made before leagues been resumed due of Covid19 then it would be raising possibilities of match-fixing decision. In addition, such decision didnt take away effort which was provided by lower league side to give fight to be raised into top league. Only issue which this decision could have is connected to scheduling as it would be meaning that one side would be not being one week and could provide some issues in upcoming weeks especially when coming to final weeks. But this would be temporary decision and needs to be taken understanding. In fact, apart of this decision main reason is related to Covid 19 circumstances it would have to sides which been relegated, upcoming season should be seen as connecting season from 18 sides to 20. Neutrally, this naturally would mean 4 extra games for each side which could be good news for Turkish football followers.

This decision could either provide rise of effort for Turkish football or have negative impact but this is being very important decision and possibly most important one not connected to Covid19 from TFF.

Foreign players limit will not go into effect next season

Another important decision which been made following again with Club's Union request and been discussed with Kasapoglu has been to not have in effect foreign players limit with sides stating that it would be difficult for them to make into effect.

It is important to be reminded that this decision does also have Covid19 period role as clubs would be having issues to go through changes due of financial issues and could have issues with selling its foreign players. Still, with rule going into effect after next season, at least with current decision, club's would need to provide similar transfer politics more pretending that it still exists. Hence, it needs to transfer amount of foreign players with taking account that it would need to reduce its squad to 14 players next season with 7 being on the field or otherwise similar issues would be discussed next year and it is unlikely that TFF would be cancelling this decision again. Therefore, sides can take huge relief due of this decision but need to provide transfers with planning also 2021/22 season for sure.

This decision would take away stress especially when selling current foreign players but it doesnt mean for sure that it can continue transfers like there will never be limit.

Losing title could affect negatively to confidence of Trabzonspor.

Despite of the fact that Trabzonspor would be coming to Turkish Cup final game as favourites, it does have some disadvantage prior to game due of the fact that it could be going through trauma of losing league title when being so close.

Even through this could be also seen as advantage and provide extra motivation to whole club, with losing title in recent period of time could also reduce focus and confidence before such important game, where comes role of head coach and with club being without it, this role would be taken by caretaker coach Eddie Newton and it is questionable if he would be able to take this role. Still, if Trabzonspor would provide focus and provide performance which it showed for amount of season focussing into attacking game it does have chance but without doubt it needs to be solving defensive issue as their opponent does provide positive attacking football without doubt. Trabzonspor does look to be favourite on paper but its not simple like that on field.

Turkish Cup without doubt would also aid for side to forgive themselves to their strong supporters who currently angry for side of not getting league title when being so close.

Alanyaspor deserves to win Turkish Cup with its performance of whole season.

Clubs Union requests for relegation not to take place

Clubs Union which had meeting with all clubs has put into top of its agenda question of taking away relegation of this past season and raise number of clubs during next season to 21,with stating economical issues which came due of Covid19.

This matter has been reopened after its been actively discussed during meeting where plans of how leagues to be resumed been discussed back on May where with high criticism decision has been approved. Our page also been against it believing that it would effect ending of season quite negative manner and raise match fixing. To some extend, discussing this issue right now does take though different stance as leagues to be completed. Main argument is that clubs did been negatively affected from Covid especially economically and being relegated could have some big issues which could lead all the way to bankruptcy. Hence, it is important for TFF to take this issue from economical stance to see how being relegated could have negative impact since reason is also related into financial issues without doubt.

It would be interesting what decision would TFF take right now for this request, but high number of clubs supporting this idea does make this stance strong without doubt.

Basaksehirspor raises league title in its stadium.

Basaksehirspor has raised its Super League 2019-20 title in its own stadium in pretty modest event, as would be expected taking account number of its supporters club have and also Covid19 fighting process which country is going through.

Still, regardless how well this event has been organised or not, this has been historical event for the club and quite rightfully everyone who is involved has deserved this title in pretty active manner.

Basaksehirspor of course cant afford to celebrate too much as in duration of 10 days it would play Europa League 2nd leg last 16 game against Copenhagen.

Galatasaray has made transfer deal with Emre Kilinc for 4 years

Galatasaray is been reported has made transfer of Emre Kilinc for 4 years who has earlier on day ended contract with Sivasspor among Mert Hakan Yandas.

It was known that both club and player been having transfer negotiations during mid-season and did in fact made transfer deal with him but its been decided for him to stay at Sivasspor as it was back them league leaders and did aim for title regardless how hard it would been. Turkish champions end season with loss to Kasimpasa

Turkish champions of 2019-20 season has completed this season losing with 3:2 scoreline with playing some reserved and younger players against Kasimpasa win has moved them 1 spot higher in the league which provide financial gain with this win.

The game as would be expected did been played in small tempo from Basaksehirspor with loss of concentration as its been busy with celebrating its title during whole week and also mentally focussing into celebrating winning title in its stadium after game. Still it needs to be praised for Basaksehirspor to be getting back from 3:0 with finding goals between 78th-80th minutes with goals from Demba Ba and Edin Visca and did provide high level chances in the last minutes with aiming not to get loss from final of the week. Still, such slower tempo game with players who didnt recieve high amount of playing time its been expected for them to lose points in the season which it did provide high level performance especially towards end of the season following Covid19 break.
Kasimpasa which did also raise level of performance following Covid19 break with coming out to formality game with only chance to be moving one position higher in the league, did come out for win but of course due of opponent focus and whole aim of the week did end season at high note.

Basaksehirspor without doubt has written history with winning this title with Okan Buruk and without has right to be celebrating this title.

Trabzonspor shown best performance for last 9 season but it could been better.

Even through Trabzonspor has ended as runners-up of Super League and could be attending to Champions League play-off round if CAS approves its complaint and also being finalist of Turkish Cup, it needs to be remembered that its been which has lost title race following Covid-19 break.

It needs to be noted that during Super League 34th week against Kayserispor, which with winning it has also relegated its opponents, it almost lost points with conceding goal on 1:1 but last minute goal from Alexandr Sorloth which did become also this season most goalscorer with 26 goals, has let them get 2nd spot. It needs to be noted here that this is being best performance during last 9 seasons but without doubt could been even more better if it did get supporters help in last 8 weeks and also if its solved its losing points after being ahead as it lost 27 points. Besiktas has ended season with confident 3:0 win against Genclerbirligi during last game of the season and has got 3rd spot thanks to Goztepe beating Sivasspor during parallel game and could get Champions League spot if CAS approves UEFA ban.

Without doubt Besiktas should be compared with before and after its head coach Sergen Yalcin has been appointed with side providing much more confident and strong performance. Trabzonspor has ended season with win against Kayserispor with 2:1 scoreline thanks to last minute goal from Alexandr Sorloth and hence has ended its opponents stay on the league even through opportunity did come to them after Denizlispor conceded on last minute goal.

With this result Trabzonspor has gained runners-up spot and has got Champions League qualification spot if CAS would expect its complaint but if CAS would keep decision which been made by UEFA then it would not spend European football in upcoming season despite of getting 2nd spot. It needs to be noted that due of Kayserispor didnt recieve good news from Ankaragucu against Denizlispor game until end of the game it did provide pretty slow tempo game despite of having some very good chances including moment where ball either passed goalline or penalty decision which certainly would be discussed by them after game. With Kayserispor not providing much pressure to them and Sivasspor its own game did lead Trabzonspor to provide slow-low tempo game for almost of the game. However, Trabzonspor still didnt lose points thanks to Sorloth goal in last minute which hence prevented not to lose points when going ahead.

Besiktas gets 3rd spot and could be going to Champions League

Besiktas has completed season at 3rd spot with win against Genclerbirligi who did come out to the formality game and also due of help with Goztepe which unexpectedly did win Sivasspor in last week, which could club could get to qualification of Champions League if Trabzonspor ban would be approved.

Despite of some news from players leaving clubs in those recent days, Besiktas still managed to stay focussed for the game and did provide very confident performance which did improve as game been going on with Besiktas attacks getting more dangerous. It needs to be noted that 1st goal did come from Atiba Hutchinson penalty goal who did show some good performance and hence did get well deserved goal. Following that goal, and also news from alternative game where Sivasspor was losing to Goztepe it did provide much attacking game and found other 2 goals. Right now, following this result it would be waiting for decision from CAS regarding team joining Champions League and likely would be starting to plan for next season as it would player qualifier at top tournament.
Even through Genclerbirligi did come out to formality game as been noted above it still provided some good performance during 1st half with finding attacks and get disallowed goal but after conceding goal it did lose concentration.

Besiktas as been noted did go through drastic positive changes with appointment of Sergen Yalcin and even through  didnt end where it wanted it still completed season in great manner.

Sivasspor lost chance to end at 3rd spot due of own mistakes.

Sivasspor has lost its opportunity to end season at the 3rd spot without reason with providing poor and lack of high level game with losing to lack of concentration and aim Goztepe with 3:1 scoreline.

Without doubt one of the sides which Covid19 break not being very helpful has been Sivasspor which did provide pretty ineffective performance in last 8 games and this could be seen as it lost to Goztepe which is among worst performed sides following break. Galatasaray would hope for Alanyaspor to lose points to secure 5th spot.

Galatasaray has completed Super League 2019-20 season with loss of 2 points against Antalyaspor which did come out for formality game and would now wait for loss of points from Alanyaspor to keep its chances for Europa League without waiting for outcome at Turkish Cup final.

It needs to be noted that Galatasaray didnt provide very effective performance during 1st half with more or less describing performance of the side during 1st half of the season and also following Super League resume where it only gained 5 points during that period. However, due of either motivation talk from Fatih Terim at changing room or/and possibility of securing 5th spot in the league has led for much effective performance during 2nd half with finding 2 good goals but rather then focussing to secure scoreline after 2:1 it did provide some relexation and hence has conceded goal from Blanco and would now hope for Alanyaspor not to get win against Konyaspor which is fighting to stay at the league.

Antalyaspor even through did come out to formality has provided strong focus for the game and provided high level performance which could be seen from finding goal on last minute with focussing into points.

With Galatasaray ending at low note it would now focus into upcoming season and as whole treat this unlucky season. This could be done with some transfers following such interesting season.

Trabzonspor could be losing 2nd spot if it doesnt get result from Kayserispor game.

With Trabzonspor losing points during recent weeks, its not in risk of losing 2nd spot which could be qualification ticket for Champions League if FFP would approve clubs complaint. Trabzonspor would need to get win draw against Kayserispor but it wont be an easy task for them.

Trabzonspor main reason for losing title during this season has been for losing points when it did get ahead of the game which did lead for their head coach Huseyin Cimsir to resign even before league has been completed, as Eddie Newton would be taking caretaking position for last 2 games of this season, including Turkish Cup final. Worrying image and good news both for Sivasspor and Kayserispor, that side can achieve this comeback especially if news of other games would be coming in manner which is suitable as among winning it needs also to be waiting good news from clubs above them to stay on the league but it could be expected that Kayserispor would be more focussed to such crucial game for them without doubt.

Therefore, Trabzonspor recent performance and possible lack of motivation could have negative impact into final outcome of the game.

Sivasspor deserves to end season at 2nd spot.

Even through Sivasspor are ones who is being disadvantage due of being 2 points behind
Trabzonspor, when looking with own form and opponents Sivasspor are more closer to get iwn as Goztepe lost all motivation and provides worst performance since restart.

Sivasspor without doubt did gain level of performance with entering to last weeks and focussing into ending league at 3rd spot and now got very good opportunity with Trabzonspor losing points. It needs to be reminded that Sivasspor being longest 1st spot side during whole season and despite of some decline performance including after resume of the league it did deserve 2nd spot and would provide performance accordingly. Galatasaray and Antalyaspor will play formality game.

Turkish Super League last week game between Galatasaray and Antalyaspor would be formality game for both sides but without doubt both of them would be aiming to end season at high note despite of lack of concentration.

It needs to be noted when comparing to performance of the both sides it needs to be noted that Antalyaspor does come out with better form then Galatasaray with providing great game with its head coach Tamer Tuna, but in same time it did achieve its aim with staying in the league which could affect how it performs. In other hand, Galatasaray had very poor return to the league with only getting 5 points since return of league, with only win getting against Goztepe, so it can at least aim for ending season with win and get some apology from supporters from this season. Antalyaspor still could be motivated from aiming to provide payback for 5:0 loss earlier this season.

This game could lead to lack of concentration from both sides and one which focus more would get win more likely.

Hatayspor has ended contract with Mustafa Altiparmak

Hatayspor in very suprising and unexpected way has announced that it has ended contract with its head coach Mustafa Altiparmak who has raised side into Super League 1st time in its history and hence continues interesting tradition of ending contract when club is being promoted.

Any readers who is being following our page in last year, would remember that we went against such decisions believing that coach which played important for side to be promoted should be staying in the team and give at least chance to provide Super League performance as during that period some other coaches from promoted sides been send away from clubs. It needs to be noted that this decision could be related with finances or disagreements regarding how side should be managed after its been promoted to Super League but still Altiparmak needed to give some chance to show himself as he did manage difficult task with such club.

It would be interesting who would Hatayspor from now and provide trust to keep this side into regular side at Super League.

Oganyi Onazi has terminated contract with Denizlispor.

Denizlispor player Oganyi Onazi has terminated his contract with club for not recieving salary and being injured with same time as his contract ends during this season.

With not being treated in way which player would like to be due of not recieving salaries and still likely to be send away in the end of the season this decision could be seen understandable and in fact his club didnt provide much issue with this decision as it is reported that its been made with mutual agreement. Oganyi Onazi meanwhile did provide some good performance in Turkey so far, especially at Trabzonspor and hence could be expected to be staying in Turkey unless he has some other plans with economical issues and Denizlispor issue could lead him to move to other club.
