Fenerbahce has allowed Vardar to win against them with 2:0 scoreline.
Fenerbahce carries on providing a very poor performance in the start of the season with getting shocking result against Macedonian team Vardar during Europa League play-off round 1st leg game losing it with 2:0 scoreline.
Fenerbahce was starting this season with high expectations with bringing back Aykut Kocaman as club's head coach who would understand better and supports team players compare to previous two coaches and hence expecting for a team to become much stronger with also signing players like Valbuena and Dirar. But so far it is presenting similar and sometimes even worser performance to the last season as with Dick Advocaat it wasnt showing very bad performance at Europe. Fenerbahce couldnt get into today's game and had provided many mistakes during game hence helping Vardar to get following result. Vardar did play good football but it was clear that if Fenerbahce has shown better performance it wouldnt be able to control game. Fenerbahce still shows that it is not ready for new season and might even end its European journey without getting to group stage.
Vardar has got an important scoreline during 1st leg and are close to provide one of the biggest Europa League play-off round surprising result and might found themselves at group stage for 1st time. Vardar did show good performance but it needs to be remembered that Fenerbahce has allowed Vardar to control game, especially with presenting own goal by Mehmet Topal.
Fenerbahce entering to Europa League group stage into difficulty and even through it is expected to play total different football in 2nd leg at home it does have risk of not qualifiying if Vardar plays smartly. There is also risk of fans again showing protest for 2nd leg by not visiting stadium.
Basaksehirspor has played in same level as Sevilla.
Despite of losing to Sevilla with 2:1 scoreline at the home ground during Champions League play-off 1st leg game, Basaksehirspor has shown to everyone who was viewing the game that it is capable to provide high level European football.
As Basaksehirspor head coach Abdullah Avci has stated following the game that despite of the result the team has been ahead of Sevilla in many of the areas. Stating that their were better performing to the game could be overstatement but it would not be to state that it has provided at the same level. As remembered, during our yesterday entry after game it was stated that Sevilla had more experience compare to Basaksehirspor and thats what played an important factor. However, it needs to be stated that Basaksehirspor as the team, as many players at the squad had this experience, during yesterday's game has gained and would be needed if it manages to beat Sevilla or at worst case scenario at the Europa League.
Basaksehirspor until now has shown great performance at domestic league especially last season but didnt show much achievements at Europe but this season could mark them to become a strong team in Europe also.
Besiktas would aim to improve its creativity and tempo against Kasimpasa.
Super League early stages of the season would be restarted with Besiktas and Kasimpasa at 2nd week game where both teams has won their 1st week games and would be looking for back-to-back wins at the start of league.
Besiktas both historically and also with quality of squad does come out as favourite especially taking account that it has gained lots of motivation boost from Antalyaspor game which it wasnt too easy for them to win. It needs to be stated that the team is not yet at their best which was also seen during Antalyaspor but Kasimpasa is among teams which even through did have some wins against big 4 teams occassionally, does have an issue at creating chances at those games. With Besiktas surely aiming to provide much faster tempo game compare to previous ones, including Konyaspor would go this factor into advantage as long as it overpasses Kasimpasa defenders. Kasimpasa in other hands can use this weaknesses of Besiktas as long as it plays themselves more brave football.
Besiktas is coming out as strong favourites but more focus would be giving to Besiktas creativity and tempo which it would show at tomorrow's game.
