Galatasaray has won comfortably against Kayserispor.
Galatasaray has got a very comfortable win against Kayserispor and hence has started its Super League 2017-18 season at very high mood with the performance which would be kept happy its supporters who had some dissapointing periods at last season and also against Ostersunds.
In fact, Galatasaray has recieved most comfortable win compare to other teams during this openning week with Bafetembi Gomis scoring a 2 goals during today's game and also providing assist to Belhanda and therefore has started at great way showing that he aims to show high class football at his new team during this season. However, it needs to be stated that Kayserispor has helped Galatasaray as the team was visible is not at the same level and there was huge gap between how both sides has performed. In fact, it could be stated that main reason for Galatasaray to win game today was due of quality difference between two sides but the positive sign is that it has used its advantage for most part of the game especially during 1st half and has played more controlled in 2nd half. Great start to Galatasaray which has been criticised a lot from last season and also after losing to Ostersunds and thats taking account that Feghouli didnt play today.
In other hand, Kayserispor didnt show any controllable football and has shown pretty slowly football without much organisation and only had found goal with Gurel through luck and mistake of Muslera. It does look like that with this football it would have hard season with most of teams being at high level.
Galatasaray has started league with a comfortable win with 4:1 scoreline and did send strong message to its fans, opponents and critics but it needs to be remembered that Kayserispor was poor opponent.
Pepe has found great goal but its not 100% ready for Super League.
Title holders has started their season with a win against Antalyaspor with 2:0 scoreline despite of the factor that their opponents have shown anti-football and has tried everything to stop Besiktas at having an effective attacks and play at the tempo which their used to.
One of the stars of yesterday win of Besiktas has been newly-signed defender Pepe who even through is not 100% ready and used to the Turkish football has shown some very effective football and have scored a good goal at the end of 1st half. However, he did make a simple mistake towards end of the game against Samuel Eto'o which does show that he is not good form as he also made mistake at last week Super Cup. Lots of talks also has been done during penalty decision towards Cenk Tosun which it was seen was not actually as Deniz Kadah has touched ball and this position has been within football rules. Still Besiktas playing without fans and not at its used tempo, in other words being at unusual territory still managed to win against tough opponents.
Following loss to Konyaspor during Super Cup and also poor performance at pre-season friendlies Besiktas has regained its motivation but in gamewise its not at their best.
Trabzonspor has shown that it aims for league title.
It could be argued that Trabzonspor is not 100% ready for new season, as it was observed by most of the teams in the openning week but its motivation and also great start by Burak Yilmaz does show that it does have big aims for this season which it aims to realise.
It has been stated for long time at this blog that this season is very important for Trabzonspor in their view as their aim for league title during their 50th season and even through this performance could be argued is not enough to fulfill that, the mindset of players especially Burak Yilmaz is undoubtedly is on right track to provide great performance and achieve high aims in duration of this important season. Burak Yilmaz has reminded to everyone that he is great goalscorer but in same time has reminded that he gets lots of offside as soon as game started. It does look certain that Burak Yilmaz will be most goalscorer at the team and would fight for most goalscorer for season. As remembered there was lots of hatred towards Burak Yilmaz when he left to Galatasaray, but it does look at least for majority of fans this has been forgotten.
Trabzonspor as stated has started season at great note and would aim to carry on this performance for rest of season with next stop being Fenerbahce on 20th August at Super League 2nd week game.
