What happened in Turkish football today? 09.08.2017

Fenerbahce has made principal agreement with Roberto Soldado...

During today's transfer developments the most active team has been Fenerbahce which has principal agreements both with Villarreal player Roberto Soldado and Zenit player Giuliano. Those transfers without doubt are 2 transfers of 4 which was promised by Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim.

Lets start with focussing with Roberto Soldado who has provided a great performance during his stay at Villarreal both in La Liga and European football playing an important role for number of good performance by his previous team. Even through it could not been seen by biggest their transfer purchase, if it does come to the signing it would be arguably become 2nd biggest transfer following Valbuena. One of the issues which should be checked Fenerbahce is of course medical conditions due of his ongoing age and recieving some injuries in recent periods but still results should not provide much issue at the end. Soldado would certainly lead team to provide good performance for upcoming season.

Time would show but it does look like Soldado has been biggest transfer signing among those 4 which were discussed by Aziz Yildirim in recent days.

...and also with Giuliano

Another principal agreement transfer which was made by Fenerbahce is with Zenit player Giuliano who has shown very good performance at Russian club last season but is not expected to recieve lots of playing time during this season.

In fact, it was reported that Giuliano has decided to leave Zenit purely for a reason of not recieving gaming time and as Zenit head coach Roberto Mancini will not use him much for upcoming season. Giuliano is expected to arrive to Istanbul on 11th August where he would be aiming to conclude transfer negotiations and very likely to sign contract. Taking account that Giuliano has an aim to be selected to Brasilian National Team for World Cup 2018 and also good season at Zenit last season he could be able to provide great performance at Fenerbahce and be very effective.

Those two deals if it would become reality would lead Fenerbahce to become much stronger for upcoming season and raise their chance to become candidacy for league title at the end of the season.

Basaksehirspor has transfer Aytac Cicek but loaned him straight away to Adana Demirspor.

Basaksehirspor has transferred 22-year old Bandirmasaspor player Aytac Cicek for 5 years but in same day has loaned him to 1st league team Adana Demirspor for him to gain some experience.

This practice of purchasing player and loaning him as very practiced tactic as been seen by Manchester City with Enes Unal but doing it in same day is pretty unusual it needs to say. It is very likely that during Basaksehirspor negotiations with Bandirmaspor, Adana Demirspor was very likely to have also talks with Basaksehirspor to loan player to which very likely Basaksehirspor was looking interested to do so. Aytac Cicek in similar manner as Cengiz Under, Enes Unal does have good future and to develop as player as 22-year old would still consider as young age and does provide him lots of period and if he manages to spend good time during his loan at Adana Demirspor would certainly become an important player to Basaksehirspor in future years.

Basaksehirspor actions does show that it does see potential with a player and its important for Cicek to return the favour with good football.
