Genclerbirligi has appointed Mesut Bakkal after terminating contract with Umit Ozat.

Genclerbirligi has appointed Mesut Bakkal as its new head coach after it has terminated contract with Umit Ozat earlier this day as the team has started pretty dissapointing start as it currently is at last place with 1 point after 3 weeks at the season which is called after their deceased legendary CEO.

Apart of only getting 1 point after 3 weeks of the new season, its also didnt provide much hope with its performance so far without playing any tactical football and players looking all over place. This was dissapointing factor for a team as it aimed to provide reasonable good performance at the season which is called after them possibly even aiming for Europa League spots. Adding the picture of Umit Ozat smoking cigar and later defending for this action from himself stating its noone business what he does could certainly affected Genclerbirligi decision to end contract with him. Meanwhile, Mesut Bakkal has been head coach  of Genclerbirligi  3 times before and more or less has pretty good connection with administrators and did provide some good achievements with a team so with taking how much coaches are available right now it was best choice for team. The task for him is not easy as team is in bad condition and low morale but with season to be early he has good chances to move team up.

Genclerbirligi has become 1st club to end contract with its head coach during this season but this time it does sound reasonable with how Genclerbirligi has started season so far.

Galatasaray has loaned Manchester City player Jason Denayer.

Galatasaray has once again has made loan deal with Manchester City player Jason Denayer after 1 year absence and with both Galatasaray and Denayer having pretty good connection with each other it does expect for him to provide good performance this season also.

It was known that Denayer has always stated that he would like to move to Galatasaray as he has some good memories from Istanbul side and has become adapted to the team very well as both his team mates and administrators had good relationship. Of course, those good relations does lie into fact that he has provided very good performance in the midfielder and would play play an important role at this pretty new squad and would provide possibly even faster football as Galatasaray head coach Igor Tudor and administrators are aware that this team can provide even more and better performance for the rest of the season. Jason Denayer is right loan deal for Galatasaray for sure.

Its been correct deal as there is not much issue of getting adapted to Denayer as he knows some part of the team and how this league is played and expectations.

Crystal Palace has offered 10 million pounds for Cenk Tosun. 

One of the most transfer rumours going around today is that Besiktas has recieved 10 million pound offer for its player Cenk Tosun which needs to be is very good value and it is curious how team would respond to this offer.

As it is known, Besiktas administration does play an important role with decision as how players respond to this offers and it is unlikely that Cenk Tosun who could play at Champions League with Besiktas would like to go to the Crystal Palace with team which he would not be able to do so, but in same time he would have chance to show himself at Premiership and it might open door for him for bigger clubs if he uses this chances rightly. It is interesting how Besiktas would respond to this offer as 10 million euro is pretty good money for Cenk Tosun but it might want to keep him as he plays an important role for a team and it doesnt look like head coach Senol Gunes would like to lose him. Therefore, it is interesting how Besiktas would respond to this offer from English side.

If Cenk Tosun as been stated does go to Crystal Palace and performs good it could open door to move stronger side in Premiership or in Europe even but he would need to sacrifice few seasons at Champions League for that.

Celta Vigo transfers Emre Mor for 5 years.

Celta Vigo has made transfer deal with Borussia Dortmund player and also future star of the Turkish football which has been seen by man pundits Emre Mor for 5 years with 12.5 million euro and making an important addition to its squad.

As it has been realised by our regular visitors Emre Mor has been among most discussed players during transfer front during this summer transfer with big questions which team he would move to with Fenerbahce being among main candidates to transfer him. Even through it could been argued that he did move from team which fights for league title to average team in Spain, he still has moved to one of the most exciting leagues in the world which is La Liga. Hatem Ben Arfa would travel to Istanbul to have transfer talks with Fenerbahce and Basaksehirspor

PSG sports director Antero Henrique has stated that Fenerbahce and Basaksehirspor are having transfer negotiations with their player Hatem Ben Arfa with Fenerbahce being one step closer to transfer him.

Henrique also added that Hatem Ben Arfa would be travelling to Istanbul to have direct one-on-one transfer negotiations with both clubs and would make his final decisions after talks. Interestingly enough, one of the main reasons for failure to transfer Hatem Ben Arfa to one of the Turkish clubs has been reluctance of Arfa at playing for Turkish clubs. There is in fact still reports in French sports media that Arfa doesnt intend to play there. However, there is strong chance that he might not have much chance right now as it does look like PSG have intentions to sell him and for sake to continue his career he might stop thinking about Turkey in negative manner. The fact that Fenerbahce are showing strong interest surely should not be treated as surprise as it aimed to transfer him for many years now.

Fenerbahce is likely to have now intense transfer negotiations with Hatem Ben Arfa and aim to finally make transfer deal with player which it tried to get for many years now.

Monaco are interested to transfer Barcelona player Arda Turan.  

According to Spanish media, Monaco are showing strong interest to transfer Arda Turan and are pretty close to make transfer deal with player.

It is known that Barcelona have strong aims to sell its player Arda Turan as it doesnt seem him anymore in future plans. Even through Arda Turan is best player in Turkey by far, he is not same level as most players in the Barcelona so it should be treated quite naturally. It also needed to be reminded that team which are interested with him is Monaco team which would aim for another league title and also success at the Champions League so its not much going down for Arda Turan if this deal would take place. In fact, it does sound like good offer for Arda Turan as it would have go to project team with high aims. Fenerbahce win against Genclerbirligi could be turning point for them this season.

Fenerbahce was coming to the game against Genclerbirligi during Super League 3rd week game where it needed to win as it has obtained only 2 points from opening week and with taking account that it was tired both physically but even more morally it wasnt an easy win for them.

Moral aspects and pressure which players had prior to game has become their biggest enemy and created tension more than Genclerbirligi. In fact, their opponents with poor football and also recieving red cards during the game didnt provide much pressure towards Fenerbahce which did make them getting an important game. Sometimes after bad performances team needs to take a win regardless how this is gathered and this should be taken place as early as possible since bad performance has become. With only 3rd week been passed Fenerbahce is currently 4 points behind Galatasaray who  has gained 100% record so far this season and hence if Fenerbahce would be able to turn around and use this win as advantage it will be able to be at title race during this season. Stating that Fenerbahce does have many tasks to do during national team break.

As been stated best way to get into legs and start providing good results after unlucky and bad period is to win and time would show if yesterday performance would be turning point for them.

Oguzhan Ozyakup has been called to Turkish National Team for World Cup Qualifiers.

One of the interesting developments at the Turkish football world today has been calling of Besiktas player Oguzhan Ozyakup to the Turkish National Team after high criticism to the team head coach Mircea Lucescu for not selecting one of the most in-form players at this and last season.

According to rumours, surrounding this change of mind by Lucescu is realisation that he made mistake for not selecting him and has stated that he would be important for a team and would try to talk to Ozyakup to solve this misunderstanding. Oguzhan Ozyakup without doubt has been among players at the Besiktas who played an important role for back-to-back league titles and is among main stars of the team among Turkish players. Interestingly, prior to Ozyakup calling to team once again Turkish National Team assistant coach Tayfur Havutcu has stated that he wasnt selected due of tactical preferences which has been set by Lucescu so its still interesting if he would be  start in starting 11 against Ukraine on 2nd September and Croatia on 5th September during important games at World Cup Qualifiers.

It is still good for Mircea Lucescu to realise his mistake and calling Oguzhan Ozyakup to the national team until its not too late but its crucial for him not to make similar mistakes as it might affect players concentration.

Fenerbahce are close to transfer Luis Neto.

Fenerbahce are close to transfer Zenit player Luis Neto as the player would be arriving to Istanbul to have one-on-one transfer negotiations and possibly make deal as soon as tomorrow.

One of the areas as it was observed during poor start of the season by Fenerbahce has been undoubtedly defence of the team and it was obviously that it needed to have some additions to the team and it has decided to make them with Zenit player Neto which Russian team had intentions to sell. What happened in Turkish football today? 27.08.2017

Fenerbahce has won but it didnt provide great performance tonight. 

Fenerbahce has managed to win Super League 3rd week game against Genclerbirligi with 2:1 scoreline and hence has got 1st victory during this season as it has started season pretty poorly.

Stating that it needs to be mentioned that Fenerbahce still wasnt at their best during today's game.
It needs to be reminded that it has played against Genclerbirligi during today's game which also started season pretty poorly during 1st two weeks as it only got 1 point and also factors that there was own goal in 1st half and also 2 red cards has made tasks easier for Fenerbahce. Therefore, even through Fenerbahce didnt provide great performance today and does show worrying images still with its performance it needs to be stated that this result could become turning point for a team as following very poor start it would gain motivation for the team in upcoming games. It was especially important for Ozan Tufan to find goal during today's game which brought team to win game taking account that he has been heavily criticised during last few weeks. Fenerbahce meanwhile did still show some poor performance at defence which needs to improve at national team break for sure.

Genclerbirligi in their side of story didnt have a great game today and had struggled at finding right pace as their had similar issues during last few weeks. Also with some decisions from coach, which didnt have good night, has certainly provide difficult time to Genclerbirligi and does provide warning signs early in season.

Fenerbahce still is far away from its top football and 2:1 win doesnt see as good result as their opponents has ended game with 9 men but sometimes at having bad days its just important to get a win. This win could provide motivation which it needed as team certainly needs national team break to work on some issues at team.

Besiktas has lost tempo which we used to see from them.

Besiktas has managed to win Bursaspor with 2:1 scoreline during Super League 3rd week game with help of its supporters with win as scoreline suggests was not easy at all for them. It was observed that even through defensive wise Besiktas doesnt have much issues it does look to be weaker compare to last 2 seasons.

Besiktas one of the main charecteristics during league title season in last 2 seasons has been of playing with high tempo and controlling ball, the factor which made them almost unstoppable by their opponents however so far at this season it seems to lose this characteristics. Even through its true that Bursaspor with the help of Paul Le Guen did provide good tactical football and has provided some trouble times towards Istanbul side, it doesnt take away factor that Besiktas is not providing their best football. The only defence which would be given to them for it being early at the season and players does show improvement as league develops right now. On other hand, it needs to be stated that Besiktas did provide a good defence and conceded goal was loss of concentration as it was in fact only effective attack given by Bursaspor.

National team break would certainly allow the team especially new transfers to get more adapted to the team and possibly lead for head coach Senol Gunes to use them more effectively in upcoming games.

Trabzonspor once again showed decline at performance.

With the loss to the Goztepe during Super League 3rd week game with scoreline of 3:2 scoreline,
Trabzonspor start showing worrying signs which it was shown in the previous seasons and does show that team does have trouble at fighting for league title.

Interestingly during last few seasons, Trabzonspor did start a season in great form winning 1st week games and some good games with this blog in both seasons stating of good start of the team.
However, as the weeks progressed the Trabzonspor has shown decline of performance and eventually start performing badly. Even through there was willingness to win the game, it still has lost to Goztepe which as been stated at yesterday blog did in fact show more willingness to win game. Trabzonspor did show that it does have main issue at the midfielding area especially at defensive aspects as it has allowed for Goztepe to create lots of the attacks from that zone. Goztepe which has got an important 4 points from Fenerbahce and now Trabzonspor could with their wins also provide loss of motivation for both teams as league would carry on.

Trabzonspor are among teams which need national team break as it would allow them to identify issues which doesnt allow them to provide top level football and time to solve them.

Besiktas has won against Bursaspor but still lacks tempo which we used to see from them.

Besiktas has won Bursaspor with 2:1 scoreline during Super League 3rd week game with 2:1 scoreline even through it was pretty difficult game for them as it tends to be in the recent years games between two sides, as those both sides have their own rivarly with each other.

Even through it did look like Besiktas has been more prepared to the game and more ready than their opponents it still was pretty far away from its top performance which we used to see from Besiktas in recent two seasons. It was expected in fact that with this being first game during this season where it would be playing with strong support of its fans it would be able to provide more fast-paced football but it didnt hadnt manage to do so quite right. Stating that there was of course affect of the Bursaspor style which did base their tactics to stop Besiktas playing its best football. Still Besiktas has won an important game without allowing Bursaspor to create many chances and in fact during this game despite of conceding one goal Besiktas defence did show good football.

Stating that, Bursaspor did provide good game also as it has managed to slow down Besiktas especially in attack and tactically wise were not poor but as usual is being at this game quality difference has played an important affect to the result of the game.

Besiktas would be going out to the national team break with a win and even through it does provide reasonably good performance it would aim to raise tempo which was lacking at the team compare to last 2 seasons.

Goztepe has wanted more than Trabzonspor to win today's game.

Both Trabzonspor and Goztepe has shown a very good game during Super League 3rd week game where both sides wanted to win the game and Goztepe has ended up being as glorious team at the duel as it has won with 3:2 scoreline.

Even through the game has been played with Goztepe spectators and only few numbers of Trabzonspor fans who has filled their relocated area, the game ended up being with full of excitement and with this criteria likely ended up being as game of the week. Without doubt the key player of the game has been Tolga Cigerci who have scored 2 goals during the game and carries on providing a great season with huge U-turn from last season. As would be remembered he was among most criticised players at the Galatasaray during last season but this time with also being surrounded with also high quality players and also providing hard working by himself has led him to provide such a great football. It needs to be stated that Sivasspor during the game has provided their best game against Galatasaray but their were just too good for them. It does look like their team to beat right now. Only point is that Galatasaray didnt yet play with strong teams and when their come it would be more clear. Osmanlispor was seen to raise trouble for them but their did start season pretty poorly.

Galatasaray is only team with 100% record so far this season. 

Galatasaray carries on its perfect start of the 2017-18 season as it has become only team to make 3 out of 3 wins as it has won game with 3:0 scoreline at the game where Tolga Cigerci has become star player.

As it would been remembered Tolga Cigerci has been among most criticised players at the Galatasaray during past season but being hardworking player and also surrounding with higher quality players has led him to improve as player and hence use his chances during the games in more effective way. It could been argued that Galatasaray didnt provide same style of football during 45th minutes compare to previous two weeks but even taken this into account it has been always been visible that it would be able to improve and raise its tempo. Galatasaray has come out to the game once again with strong will at wanting to win the game which has been responded at how it has performed especially during 2nd half, and Tolga Cigerci especially showed how he wanted to be a key player with his two goals finding during today. Meanwhile, it does look both Tolga Cigerci and Bafetembi Gomis could become most goal scorers at the team this season.

Sivasspor meanwhile has provided pretty good football today and had tried its best to create high number of the chances especially during 1st half but this forward-seeking football style of Galatasaray has led them to lose game where it didnt provide a bad game.

Galatasaray without doubt is the team with the best form right now and it has shown that with a win today against Sivasspor and only team to make 3 out of 3 before national team break and would be going to break at great mood.

Aykut Kocaman Fenerbahce is worser than Advocaat and Pereira for today.

Fenerbahce has provided one of the big dissapointment at the history of Turkish clubbing football at its performance at the European tournaments. What makes even more dissapointing that it didnt lose game due of accident but mainly due of incapability to show top football.

Following the game, Vardar head coach has stated at the press conference that even through Fenerbahce are not strong opponents it was playing a very predictable football at which it has focussed on during whole game. As been stated at yesterday blog, this blog does not aim to state that Vardar is bad team and didnt deserve to win, their played smart football and got what their wanted. However, with taking account quality of squad, experience at Europe and also other points Fenerbahce needed to win without doubt and get to the group stage. Many fans at the team has looked with coming of Aykut Kocaman to the team as new beginning and new victories however and unfortunately to them their performing much worser than with Dick Advocaat and Viktor Pereira. Fenerbahce still has long time to save its season and even win the title but it would be very hard task to achieve it.

It is quite natural for fans to be unhappy with a team and maybe this team needs as much revision as does Galatasaray but the difference is Galatasaray did smart transfers, Fenerbahce has failed to do so.

Besiktas looks to be favourite against Bursaspor but it would be tough game.

Besiktas would be meeting with Bursaspor at the week prior to the national team break at the Super League 3rd week game which could be seen as one of the most interesting games of this week. This rivarly even through would not be referred as derby and having direct importance to league title, is still very big and exciting.

It needs to be stated that Besiktas didnt start season in high mode and does lack a speed which was seen in previous two seasons but in same time Besiktas didnt start a season well last season and also has lost points in last 2 seasons during 2nd week. This of course doesnt mean that Besiktas would compete with league title this season but it does mean that there is not much worry about it as long as Besiktas would improve as team get adapted more to new transfers. Bursaspor did start this season as most teams in mix form however it is known that it is preparing with different motivation and also a win tomorrow would provide an extra motivation for rest of the season or at least for upcoming weeks of the season. Besiktas are coming out as favourites but with Besiktas being far from its best performance it would not be easy one and it might have similar issues as it did with Kasimpasa.

Fenerbahce is out of Europa League in very poor performance against Vardar.

Fenerbahce has been eliminated from Europa League during play-off round as it has lost its 2nd leg game against Vardar in disgraceful way and has ended tie with 4:1 aggregate at the tie which it was expected to go through in very comfortable manner.

It would been expected for Fenerbahce during today's game to mainly focus into fast football and providing an attacking style of play looking for a goal for most section of the game possibly finding an early goal. However, Fenerbahce even through has contolled ball and play wise as in 1st leg has been better than Vardar, it didnt get full control and nonstop attacks which it needed to show whole game. Even through it could been argued that Vardar has played game with 6 defenders and has been organised at the back, it still doesnt describe lack of shots of Fenerbahce. Every team which would come out to the game where it doesnt only need to win but win with big goal difference it would been playing an attacking football for sure, but not Fenerbahce. In fact, after Vardar has equalised there was still 15 minutes left enough time to find 3 goals if played aggresive forward seeking football but instead it got into emotionality and showing that it has accepted loss, not character which supporters like to see. Stating that this reaction is not surprise if we watched how Fenerbahce played before that.

Of course, it would be unfair do not praise Vardar who got what it wanted from opponent which is usually way more stronger than them. It has marked history for getting to the Europa League stage with using smart defence and using its opportunities smartly.

Fenerbahce has shown very dissapointing performance and certainly would show some mistrust and worrying image to its supporters for rest of the season, with Aykut Kocaman losing his credibility even when it was accepted that team its not at its best.

Galatasaray are expected to get to the national break with 3 out of 3 wins.

Galatasaray would aim to carry on its perfect start of the new season with home game against newcomers of the league Sivasspor as it is expected to play at the full house at the Turk Telekom Arena. Istanbul side would come out as strong favourite for the game tomorrow and would like to show in all 90 minutes.

Prior to national team break, which would start after this week games Galatasaray has been lucky with the fixture as it has won expectly against Kayserispor and Osmanlispor which has started league poorly. Galatasaray in all circumstances, to all respect towards Sivasspor, would in all circumstances come out as favourite against them. With Galatasaray also showing satisfying performance towards its supporters would hence without doubt gain an important motivation and would be going to this national team break with high motivation. Trabzonspor doesnt give up with transfer of Gustavo Gomez.

Even through Fenerbahce are reported to be incredibly close to make an agreement with Milan player Gustavo Gomez for loan, Trabzonspor is not providing any backing up for their aims to instead transfer him.

Following, Fenerbahce administrators Sekip Mostoruglu and Hasan Cetinkaya negotiations with Milan player manager, it is reported that Trabzonspor CEO Muharrem Usta would be travelling to Italy to have talks with Gustavo Gomez. Trabzonspor had arleady lost a battle for transfer of Giuliano to Fenerbahce and this time Usta plans not to make same mistake, even through his case is pretty tough as there is reports that Gomez is very close to make deal with Fenerbahce with only internal issues left to be sold at the team.
