Turkey has played good strategic game against Finland.
During the game against Finnish National Team, Turkish National Team has provided one of the calmest and organised games for long time as it has managed to win their opponents with two early goals by Cenk Tosun and has once again provided some optimism for clinching 2nd place at the qualifying stage of World Cup 2018.
It is important to find early two goals against opponents like Finland as their are strong enough to provide good defensive football as the time progresses as in fact their did show for some parts during the game and hence to spoil plans of Finland from start was very important. It could be argued that following 15th minute Turkey didnt manage to create more chances but this is also being within the tactics and has played to control its scoreline and despite of one good chance by Finland which has hit to the post, their have created not much good chances. It is true that this performance will not be enough against opponents like Croatia, Iceland and Ukraine but against teams like Finland its important to play like that. Taking account that Turkish national team doesnt tend to score many goals including against weaker opponents the following scoreline should be treated normally. Two goals scored by Cenk Tosun is certainly will be good motivation also for himself for rest of the season and national team.
Right now Turkish National Team would need to focus to the Moldova friendly game on 27th March which head coach Fatih Terim would aim for checking its youth and alternative players and hence should be taking serious despite of poor opponents.
Galatasaray has kept membership of the Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem.
Among the biggest questions regarding of the Galatasaray general economical meeting which took place today it was question about future of the membership of ex-players Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem which were reported to be involved with FETO group led by Fethulah Gulen.
To the big suprise of everyone it was decided that both players, despite of some questionable history does play an important role at the history of the club including winning UEFA Cup back in 2000 but due of situation with FETO it was decided that membership will be taken away beforehand, and today was a voting about this decision. However, with majority of votes it was decided that their would stay as members. Meanwhile, some other members who are proven to be involved with FETO which has organised attempted coup back on 15th July last year, namely Zekeriya Oz, Sabahhatin Harput, Huseyin Avni Mutlu, Ismail Demiriz and Hasan Selli has been taken away from membership. Of course, the reason why it was decided to keep both Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem is not known and would discuss a lot.
Arleady Turkish media, which is quite naturally does operations against any people who involved with FETO would accept for both those names to be taken away from membership and keeping them would raise lots of arguments and criticism in coming future.
Trabzonspor are close to make transfer agreement with Alanyaspor player Emre Akbaba.
Among today's transfer rumours one of the most talked ones was about closeness of Alanyaspor player Emre Akbaba joining to Trabzonspor during upcoming summer transfer window.
It is reported that in previous days Galatasaray has send transfer offer to Alanyaspor for Emre Akbaba and even through club didnt make final agreement, it is reported that their informed club that their close to make deal with Trabzonspor and their been closer for this deal. As been noted, Alanyaspor still didnt make final decision but since this response was given to Galatasaray their is been talks about transfer fees which is given by Trabzonspor and been satisfied by Emre Akbaba side. This could also been read as sign that Galatasaray should be given higher for them to reconsider and start negotiations. Meanwhile, Emre Akbaba has stated according reports but first clubs should agree with each other for him to make final word.
It does look like that this news would get even more rumours as we getting to summer period but for now Trabzonspor is one step ahead to get Emre Akbaba at least according to rumours.
