Besiktas has come out exhausted after Olympiakos game.
Turkish Super League 25th week game between Antalyaspor and Besiktas has ended with goalless draw as Besiktas has been observed to be tired from Europa League tough game against Olympiakos of last 16 stage. Taking account that Antalyaspor has shown an attacking football and Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar has recieved 2nd yellow card during 2nd half it could been referred to game as one point gain for Besiktas.
It needs to be noted that Besiktas has been focussed for the win against Antalyaspor and therefore might consider the following draw as loss of two points but with circumstances of the game, as it was during past week game with Kayserispor it was gain of the 1 point. Taking account with Vincent Aboubakar 2nd yellow card and tough game at the midweek, and also great performance of Besiktas player Fabri saves has played an important role for today's point. Meanwhile, Aboubakar has been send off 2nd time within 3 days and taking account that those send off could be avoided by Aboubakar shows that he is being very unconcentrated during the game and should focus more to his actions or Besiktas might suffer more from needless red cards recieved from Aboubakar, even through 2nd yellow card could be debatable. Besiktas today's game should not be criticised too much as it had tough game at midweek against Olympiakos despite of loss of 2 ponts from game.
Meanwhile, Antalyaspor has been more concentrated to win the game today and has shown pretty good an attacking football and didnt find a goal due of lack of quality last touches and passes. Still it does show that it became an organised team with finding chances and does have good chances to fight for Europa League spot for end of the season.
Besiktas does suffer from also important games at Europa League as it has qualified to the quarter-final and it does look like it would suffer a lot if it goes until final. It might have risk to choose between tournaments and risk Super League title this season.
Trabzonspor is becoming a team which can fight for league title next season.
Even through Trabzonspor carries on showing undefeated performance during 2nd half of the season there was lots of questions how team will perform against Galatasaray who even through has not great days would still top level performance at this important game.
It needs to be stated that at the end of the game with 2:0 win against Galatasaray, Trabzonspor did provide very positive view sending even stronger message that we are having very strong team and ready to fight for league title. At the 2nd half of the season Trabzonspor are leaders of the table with 5 wins and 2 draws and even more importantly are showing an attacking football. Following the game, Trabzonspor CEO Muharrem Usta and head coach Ersun Yanal made it clear once again that the team is currently is having a big project which aims to bring successfull and stronger team for next season with also additions at the midseason break. As it would been remembered our blog at the end of last year has stated that Trabzonspor would need to improve its 2016 performance but it did more than that with such impressive recent results.
Trabzonspor as been stated several times is team to beat right now at the season and it now seeks for top 4 spot where it could fight for Europa League spot with getting closer to the Fenerbahce and Galatasaray.
Galatasaray needs some big revisions inside the team.
Galatasaray has coming out to very important game which could identify their aims for rest of the season as it could make its top 4 spot even more secure and possibly still be optimistic for league title but yesterday's loss means that its Europa League is not secure yet.
With the game played and also internal developments happening at the team it became visible that things currently are not perfect as players seems to have lack of motivation and focus during the game. It wasnt able to get an upper hand during the game and to some extend got some control after Trabzonspor red card on 65th minute but still it wasnt enough for them to find goal. Meanwhile, there was an expected resignation of administrator Levent Nazifoglu which does also prove that their are some issues at the team internally as Nazifoglu latest statements and some rumours coming from club did show that their are some misunderstandings within the team. Galatasaray head coach Igor Tudor has joined team to provide more fighting spirit but so far this is not present with his performance at the team and does show that more tough games are coming up this season.
Galatasaray does need some revision and it could start them right now but even more clearly their would be some big changes made during summer transfer period as it does look like team needs change as it also performed poorly last season.
