What happened in Turkish football today? 21.03.2017

Fenerbahce has decided to keep Dick Advocaat until end of the season.

Following Fenerbahce head coach Dick Advocaat statement that he would be resigning as head coach of club and also end his coaching career at the end of the season following Super League 25th week game against Konyaspor, there were some talks about sacking Advocaat at the media which has been raised by number of administrators but at the end it was decided to keep him until end of season.

Those number of administrators argument has been stated that Dick Advocaat has set his mind for resignation and hence it could affect negatively to his performance and also players for rest of the season due of lack of the motivation. It is known that taking account that Fenerbahce to end season with a title has become almost impossible task right now, high number of people involved with the team are strongly considering to find saviour for this season as Turkish Cup. Dick Advocaat is reported to also state that Turkish Cup is important for him as he wants to end season with title. Sacking head coach right now is not solution of  course taking account that its main candidate Aykut
Kocaman has no plans at leaving Konyaspor at least until summer even through all things are not clear even during summer.

It is logical decision for Fenerbahce to stay with its previous tactic of keeping coach until end of the season taking account that chances of at least ending season with Turkish Cup are pretty high.

Akhisar Belediyespor and Osmanlispor are interested to appoint Hamza Hamzaoglu as head coach.
Head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu is right now seems to be most wanting team but few teams which are looking for head coach, and its reported that Akhisar Belediyespor and Olympiakos are interested to appoint him.

This interest towards Hamza Hamzaoglu is pretty normal as pretty successful and experienced head coaches in the Turkey is currently looking for a job and with both sides mentioned above have recently sacking head coach it would be normal for them to approach him. Hamzaoglu sacking from Galatasaray during last season was to some extend too harsh as he did bring some good results but due of not providing enough has been sacked. Even through it would be seen more logical for him to go to league title contenders team Olympiakos at Greece, there is also chance to stay in Turkey with Akhisar Belediyespor and possibly be more successful as he would be at his home ground with familiar league.

Undoubtedly, this rumour might get other turns as both teams are reported to be highly interested but of course there could be other appointment for both teams in upcoming days and some new rumours might come out with those three parties.

Aurelian Chedjou doesnt think he would stay at Galatasaray next season.

During an interview at the Frech television, Galatasaray player Aurelian Chedjou has reminded that his contract with his team will end at the end of the season and that he is not awaiting for new contract.

During an interview, it did sound like that he also does not want to stay at the club as he stated that he would aim for new beginnings from next season at the new team. Aurelian Chedjou even through could not be referred as bad player, is not to some extend at the calibre of the Galatasaray and even through did provide lots of help has never been seen as crucial player of the team and hence it will not be huge surprise if words from Chedjou are true. However, in same time he does have a key role as a defender and his place would be set free and taking account that his salary is not too high, Galatasaray might consider to extend contract with him until June as there is still time. However, taking account that Chedjou is also aware that there is time, he is statement is more likely to be led from how team treats him inside.

As been stated, Aurelian Chedjou possible none extension with the club will not big loss but fact that his value is not high and taking account with financial fair play requirements by UEFA team might consider to offer him extension, if he would accept it is other matter.
