What happened in Turkish football today? 22.03.2017

Galatasaray administrator Alp Yalman has resigned from his post.

Galatasaray issues with its CEO Dursun Ozbek, both at the internally and at sportive front are keep carrying on, as it could be observed from also unhappy administrators and resignations. Following at weekends resignation of Levent Nazifoglu, Galatasaray administrator and ex-CEO Alp Yalman has resigned from his position.

Reasons for his resignations from the club are not clear but it is possibly could be lead for resignations of the Levent Nazifoglu as numbers of administrators are unhappy with how club is being treated both economically and sportive factors, which includes the treatment towards Nazifoglu. Dursun Ozbek has been elected as CEO 2 years at the time when Galatasaray was to clinch its last title to date which followed with two very poor seasons. It is known that Galatasaray still could not solve its FFP, financial fair-play issue taking account that there is risk that Galatasaray ban could be extended to the next season as it didnt solve its primary issue. To some extend, this issue been given by its ex-CEO Unal Aysal but again two years is enough time to make some kind of improvement with those issues.

If Dursun Ozbek doesnt manage to solve this issue in near future we might recieve some more resignations at the teams and calls for an early election of CEO at the club, as it still at big crises as club.

Osmanlispor appoints Hamza Hamzaoglu as club head coach.

Osmanlispor has announced that it has appointed head coach Hamza Hamzaoglu for 1.5 years as we had discussed about his important role as head coach at our yesterday entry and discussed how he would still be able to make useful results if he will be appointed.

According to rumours he was expected to either join Akhisar Belediyespor and Olympiakos, but it became announced today that he has joined Osmanlispor after Mustafa Resit Akcay has resigned from his post at the weekend. It needs to be stated that despite of  poor results at the Super League compare to last season, Osmanlispor showed memorable performance at the Europa League getting to the last 16 stage which does show  capability of the team very well. With Hamza Hamzaoglu having a great experience with Galatasaray and Bursaspor previously  he does have capability to move Osmanlispor with such squad team has right now. Taking account of possibly good transfers, as Osmanlispor are among which could be referred as project, there is opportunities for him to move club forward during his reign.

With same reason stated above, namely club being a project club and having big aims for near future, it would be reasonable that appointment of Hamzaoglu is a good one and would help team to move forward.

Vincent Aboubakar needs to be careful if he wants to play for Besiktas next season.

One of the most awaiting news which are been awaiting by Turkish football fans, is regarding if would Vincent Aboubakar recieve some kind of punishment for his sending off at the game against Olympiakos and also Antalyaspor last week and also his future at the club.

With it being visible that Aboubakar would be punished after all there is also possiblity of him returning to Porto after season is over as he is loaned to club from there. Besiktas CEO Fikret Orman, according to reports, has warned Aboubakar that rest of his season is crucial for him as it looks like team considers to not purchase him but he does have chance to prove himself to the team with playing a quality football and be more careful. Vincent Aboubakar is known to enjoying his stay at the team and giving his best with full emotion and this emotional aspect does harm to him as he tends to make decision and being affected from outside. With performance wise he is doing good since returning from African Cup of Nations and if he be more careful with cards he could play an important role for rest of the season.

Shortly, the future of Vincent Aboubakar at Besiktas would be related with his performance and more importantly with his actions of not recieving or recieving cards for rest of the seasons.
