Fenerbahce will start compensation case against TFF and UEFA.

One of the most talked conversations during this national team break at the media has been regarding of the new developments of match-fixing case which has been surrounding Turkish sports media and all parties involve since summer of 2011.With it becoming clear of innocence of Fenerbahce in legal terms, club aims crucial move.

It became clear that Fenerbahce plans to start compensation duration with the UEFA and TFF following damages both monetary and generally to the club as it was expected for them to do so. According to reports, Fenerbahce plans to start 120 million euro compensation while against TFF it will be 100 million euro. It needs to be remembered that back in that summer of 2011, UEFA has made decision to replace Fenerbahce with Trabzonspor and provided 2+1-year ban to the Fenerbahce and taking account that during that period their had experienced anothe league title it has lost two chances of recieving prize money for attending to Champions League, while at TFF it certainly has lost good chance to get some valuable transfer and also lost some players who have left. Taking account that within a year it is expected that Fenerbahce would legally stated to be victim of all this situation, it has all good chance to ask for this compensation.

It is unlikely that both UEFA and TFF would have much option to run away from this cases but value could be changed of compensation and as been stated before match-fixing, or more precisely, currently aftermath of it is taking another turn.

Caner Erkin and Demba Ba show recovery but are not ready to play yet.

One of the questions prior to Super League 26th week game, is regarding if Besiktas players Caner Erkin and Demba Ba are ready to play in this weekend game against Genclerbirligi, as their took place in national team breaks friendly games.

In today's press conference, Besiktas head coach Senol Gunes has stated that both players are showing great recovery process and are on right track taking account their situation, but it would be too early to play them in weekend especially for Caner Erkin while Demba Ba situation might go over situation he is until 2nd April. Caner Erkin is reported to recieve another injury during training session but despite of at beginning media stating that he might not train for 10 days, club has stated that he will be able to return in 2-3 days. Demba Ba situation is still unclear and its expected that many people would like him to return as soon as possible and see if he is in same level as he was few years ago before leaving club.

Of course, its more healthier to keep those players in control and dont risk playing them when their are not entirely ready especially taking account that Europa League quarter-final game against Lyon is coming up in 2 weeks time.

Besiktas are interested with Fenerbahce player Hasan Ali Kaldirim.

One of the transfer talks which has been discussed about lately is possible interest of Besiktas with Fenerbahce player Hasan Ali Kaldirim as it plans to purchase another Fenerbahce player after Gokhan Gonul and Caner Erkin from last summer.

It is reported however that Hasan Ali Kaldirim is happy at the club and puts into priority of possible extension contract from Fenerbahce. As it is remembered one of the factors was with misunderstanding between Gonul and Erkin which led them to leave team, but Hasan Ali Kaldirim at least for now not to have similar issues and it is expected that Fenerbahce is more likely to get extension with Kaldirim regardless how this season ends. Therefore, Besiktas is likely to push its chances for Kaldirim but chances are lower than compare with Gokhan Gonul.

As always, time will always show how this develops as there is still long period until summer transfer window as we still in end of March.

Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim had talk with Emre Mor manager Muzzi Ozcan.

Possibility of Emre Mor to be loaned to the Turkish club for 1 season has become even more possible as there are rumours that Fenerbahce administrator Hasan Cetinkaya and CEO Aziz Yildirim have had negotiations with Borussia Dortmund player manager Muzzi Ozcan.

As always, it will be hard to know on what topics this meeting were discussing has been and its not clear if it was about  directly about loaning him for future period or regarding of other plans between Fenerbahce and Muzzi Ozcan but media circulating of news that Mor can join Fenerbahce for one season next year has made this meeting into one of most discussed topic at sports media. As been stated before at our blog, Borussia Dortmund as team and Emre Mor himself could consider for him to get an experience with Turkish clubs especially if its big 3 teams and recieve lots of development as a player at the Turkish football environment. Stating that he needs to learn lots as a player and being at the right environment will help him, such as being at Borussia Dortmund.

Fenerbahce talking with his manager does show that their one step ahead compare to other clubs but again how was that meeting concluded is not known and that factor is most crucial if Mor will join Istanbul club or not.

Sunderland doesnt plan to sell Jeremain Lens for less than 18 million euro.

Future of the Sunderland player Jeremain Lens, which is currently loaned to Fenerbahce, at Istanbul is questionable as English club is certain of wanting to sell him for 18 million euro as it aims to recieve some cash due of being at poor economical situation.

Fact, that Sunderland wants to sell him for high price is certainly bad news for Fenerbahce due of limitation it has due of Financial Fair-play. Another factor which is not good for Fenerbahce, that it plan to loan him for another season is not working as Sunderland is only plans to sell him for good cash. For instance, it has also declined to make an agreement with Besiktas which has offered  Tolgay Arslan in return of Lens.Therefore, with Sunderland demand right now it does look like the chances for Lens to stay in Turkey are getting low but again both clubs, especially Fenerbahce, would look for alternative ways to solve this issue as there is time for transfer window and hence some changes of this story could happen and could end with good news for Fenerbahce.

Fenerbahce most strong argument has been factor that Jeremain Lens is happy and does want to stay at club and hence this factor would play an important role when Fenerbahce will try to sign him from Sunderland.

Roma are interested with Besiktas player Oguzhan Ozyakup.

There are reports that Roma are interested to transfer Besiktas player Oguzhan Ozyakup during summer transfer window, as it aims to reduce its average age at the team. Roma plans to offer 12 million euro.

Oguzhan Ozyakup with his recent performance at the Besiktas both domestically and at the European football has certainly managed to turn some eyes around European clubs and certainly among them being Roma. Even through there is reported to be other key names at same position, Italian team does consider him as strong candidate. Stating that it would be expected that Besiktas, if this rumour is true, could consider 12 million euro as to low as it tend to provide high prices to players which it wants to keep at team in logic of at least we make some cash to find even better replacement, the way actually clubs should be run in fact. This story does expect to get some other turns and we see where Ozyakup will be in September.

Turkish Football Federation and clubs need to developing work with youth players.

Future generation of the Turkish National Team during the friendly game against Moldova has provided a passing performance proving everyone that there is future of Turkish football. However, it is now important for everyone who is involved with their development to take care of them.

Despite of playing against relatively weak opponent and it being friendly game, yesterday's players, as starting 11 average age was 23, has shown that their are quality players and can provide a great performance and be able to compete at the high performance. Awareness of those players has been present of course at the club football however playing at national team is different matter and winning game with 3:1 with great goals from players who had enjoyed this for first time was impressive least to say. But as stated its now important for Turkish Football Federation and clubs to take care of them and develop them in the right pace or their could turn into wasted opportunities, and this could be done only in way of recieving enough game time at their respective clubs and provide big focus into them during training sessions. For this players to develop and also for next generation and other after that is not only important for them but also for whole Turkish football.

Players showed that there is bright future for Turkish National Team at game yesterday, now its time for everyone involved with their development for make this future into reality and dont repeat old mistakes.

Galatasaray CEO Dursun Ozbek confirms that ending membership of Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem is connected to FETO.

Galatasaray CEO Dursun Ozbek has stated in today's interview what was known from moment when decision was made which is ending club's membership of its ex-players Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem, who are known to have direct connection with FETO organisation, to be actual reason.

Dursun Ozbek has stated that during meeting where the decision by club members to keep their membership has been done, it became clear that their didnt pay for 6-years of their membership. This fact has hence led for decision to become all clear, and just provided extra reason to end membership of them even through some of the members wanted them to stay due of good performances previously. Ozbek has stated that decision about their ending of membership has been done even earlier but due of formality needed to go through election and the result didnt represent whole club's thought. As it is known, following ending of membership some members, pressumably once who have voted for both members to stay at the team, has provided resignation. Regardless, of political views it was important for club to come to this decision as both Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem are known to have connection with FETO group.

It was important for Dursun Ozbek to make this statement and make everything clear as until now it did look like club has decided to cover up actual reason of ending membership.

Trabzonspor will not give up its match-fixing battle.

Trabzonspor has stated following decision of CAS to decline of their demand to open case against Fenerbahce, that it would send its complain towards FIFA. This does show Trabzonspor will not give up its hope to get league title of 2010-11 until the end.

With many factors proving involvement of FETO with match-fixing scandal related to 2010-11 season and title of Fenerbahce, following also 15 July coup attempt, it became clear that Fenerbahce is getting upper-hand what looks to be fair. Interestingly, Trabzonspor has stated during this case that FETO and fact that Fenerbahce has been done match-fixing should be stated and has hence complained to UEFA and later to CAS. Trabzonspor, rightly, states that both organisation right now are contradicting themselves, as their had admitted previously that Fenerbahce has done match-fixing. Right now, all documents show other way. Trabzonspor has right to complain to FIFA and also Swiss court of human rights but it would look that it would fail to achieve its aim again.

Yesterday, at our blog it was stated that it does look like match-fixing case is getting into closer but with this development of Trabzonspor it might be still carry on being big issue.

Turkish National Team youth players has provided great game against Moldova.

Turkish National Team youth players has provided a great performance against Moldavian National Team with 3:1 win which was certainly for them the biggest game in their short career at this level even through for most viewers this has been seen as only friendly game.

The main focus for the game as been mentioned beforehand was for Turkish National Team head coach Fatih Terim to check youth players as teams average age has been 23 at today's game.The most experienced player during the game has been Oguzhan Ozyakup while other players has been using their opportunities to prove themselves to Fatih Terim and this has been done well as all of the goals by Turkey has been scored by the players who didnt experience scoring for their national beforehand. One of the most talked and memorable moment has been Emre Mor passing Moldavian player with effective control of ball. This move has reminded younger Ronaldo as he was doing this frequently in youth years. Their is no doubt that Emre Mor has great control of ball and skills and it needs to develop that keep his ego in control and learn to play collectively, or otherwise it would affect his future for his career and national team in negative way.

Moldavian National Team has played in their strongest game with finding very few chances as the team like that has provided the best game their can. In all respect to them, Moldova was perfect team to test youth players of Turkey and keep their motivation high.

In overall, youth playrs has shown great performance at the game against Moldova with finding 3 great goals with also great support of fans at the Eskisehir. It was good game which helped with motivation and left with many positive thoughts.

Foreign limit has reduced chances to Turkish youth players to develop.

Talks about limit of the foreign players at the Turkish league has begun to be discussed once again following yesterday interview by Turkish Football Federation CEO Yildirim Demiroren stating that he would like there to be more Turkish players which would allow football to develop.

According to current system, which has come into effect prior to 2015-2016 season, there is unlimited limit within the teams which would be in effect until of 2018-2019 season. This limit it needs to be provided even through could have brought many worldwide stars especially at the old ages but it has unfortunately reduced the chances of Turkish youth to develop from club's academy and has trouble to improve it which did led to questions if the system to be blamed. There is also argument from such people as Turkish National Team head coach Fatih Terim that there should be freedom given for foreigners as their could improve Turkish football but more focus should be given to the youth academy. Problem with the system as there is so many foreign players which play for salary it is reasonable for teams to be led to play them to satisfy their price value. Meanwhile, there is also factor that following regulation cant just change, as been stated by the Club's Union and should stay effect until 2019, as club's has made transfer deals in such a way.

Therefore, decision cant change right now and all clubs would be against but there is mistake with this decisions however damage has been made arleady and could only be changed in 3 years time only.

Court of Appeal has send request to acquit Fenerbahce administrators from match-fixing.

During today, Fenerbahce on-going battle regarding of the match-fixing allegation after 2010-11 season has recieved good news both from CAS which has declined Trabzonspor complaint and also Supreme Court of Appeal has send request to Supreme Court to acquit Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim and other members.

Court of Appeal decision is even more important as it has shown that Fenerbahce getting acquitted from match-fixing is coming even closer even through this process would also take some time and is expected to be taken around 1 year even through it is possible that decision would be made earlier. As it is known, 2010-11 season match-fixing issues has recieved another twist when case was opened against FETO group to make all this movements against Fenerbahce. It is still very good news for club to clear its name after such a long time of struggle at this battle. CAS decline of Trabzonspor request has also shown that Fenerbahce is coming to be right one at the match-fixing case right now.

Right now all focus would be given to Supreme Court as its decision would be put closure into this long-term talks which has dominated media since 2011.

Turkish National Team game against Moldova would allow team to test strength of younger players.

Turkish National Team will carry on its national team period with friendly game against Moldova which would be aimed to check players who dont recieve lots of time at the national team and also from youth sides. This would be great test for them and also for Fatih Terim at this game.

In other words, the game would be seen as a good chance for those players to prove themselves and show their value for the Turkish football fans and also for head coach Fatih Terim at the game against Moldova. It should be noted that it could be criticised for Turkey to  play against weak team like Moldova at the time when it needs improvement but playing against this type of teams is actually good as it would be able ot provide a big test at this period of time as stated above and also even more importantly keep motivation at the high for the national team. In addition, to all respect for both teams, Moldova are in very similar level as Kosovo is and therefore would allow to analyse Kosovo prior to game against them in 11th June. As it is known Fatih Terim is currently focussed to provide confidence and adaptation for youth players to the Turkish National Team and it would be a good chance for him to do that tomorrow.

The game against Moldova main aim among winning is to test the team prior to crucial game qualifiers at the World Cup and keep motivation high and tomorrow performance of youth player would show how succesfull and ready their are for harder games.

Fenerbahce are interested to transfer Spartak Moscow player Ivelin Popov with giving in return Emmanuel Emenike to them. 

Fenerbahce according to today's rumours at the Turkish sports media are once again interested with Spartak Moscow player Ivelin Popov since mid-season transfer window and in return it considers to give Emmanuel Emenike - an offer which looks likely to satisfy both sides.

It is known that Popov is suitable player for Fenerbahce as it carries on looking for classical 10 player which it doesnt seem to  be able to fill the gap since last summer and with Emenike having spend good season at Spartak Moscow previously this offer could kept both sides satisfied. The offer is planned to be informed to Spartak Moscow in upcoming days. It is menawhile known that Fenerbahce has been interested with Ivelin Popov from years when he was playing for Genclerbirligi, another factor which would be seen as advantage since he is used to the Super League and would provide big help for Fenerbahce if he joins in summer.

As been mentioned following offer would be able for Fenerbahce also to kill two rabbits at same time as it would be able to solve its classical 10th position and also finally get "rid of" Emmanuel Emenike.

Wolverhampton are interested to transfer Galatasaray player Bruma.

It is reported at the media that Wolverhampton are interested to transfer Galatasaray player Bruma and could provide a good amount of cash for him in return but it is known that Galatasaray are undecided to sell him or not.

It is known that when Galatasaray new head coach Igor Tudor has joined team he had disagreement with Bruma as Tudor has told to Portuguese player that he didnt want him at the starting 11 during game in which Bruma has stated that he will not then travel with team. But in same time Igor Tudor is aware that Bruma could be very useful for him and to some extend he had shown pretty good performance during this season at the Galatasaray including bring important wins for a team. Stating that, Galatasaray does need some extra cash for summer transfer window and selling Bruma and replacing him with better players and/or number of loans for next season would be a smart choice to sell Bruma this summer to other teams which includes Wolverhampton.

Turkey has played good strategic game against Finland.

During the game against Finnish National Team, Turkish National Team has provided one of the calmest and organised games for long time as it has managed to win their opponents with two early goals by Cenk Tosun and has once again provided some optimism for clinching 2nd place at the qualifying stage of World Cup 2018.

It is important to find early two goals against opponents like Finland as their are strong enough to provide good defensive football as the time progresses as in fact their did show for some parts during the game and hence to spoil plans of Finland from start was very important. It could be argued that following 15th minute Turkey didnt manage to create more chances but this is also being within the tactics and has played to control its scoreline and despite of one good chance by Finland which has hit to the post, their have created not much good chances. It is true that this performance will not be enough against opponents like Croatia, Iceland and Ukraine but against  teams like Finland its important to play like that. Taking account that Turkish national team doesnt tend to score many goals including against weaker opponents the following scoreline should be treated normally. Two goals scored by Cenk Tosun is certainly will be good motivation also for himself for rest of the season and national team.

Right now Turkish National Team would need to focus to the Moldova friendly game on 27th March which head coach Fatih Terim would aim for checking its youth and alternative players and hence should be taking serious despite of poor opponents.

Galatasaray has kept membership of the Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem.

Among the biggest questions regarding of the Galatasaray general economical meeting which took place today it was question about future of the membership of ex-players Hakan Sukur and Arif Erdem which were reported to be involved with FETO group led by Fethulah Gulen.

Trabzonspor are close to make transfer agreement with Alanyaspor player Emre Akbaba.

Among today's transfer rumours one of the most talked ones was about closeness of Alanyaspor player Emre Akbaba joining to Trabzonspor during upcoming summer transfer window.

It is reported that in previous days Galatasaray has send transfer offer to Alanyaspor for Emre Akbaba and even through club didnt make final agreement, it is reported that their informed club that their close to make deal with Trabzonspor and their been closer for this deal. As been noted, Alanyaspor still didnt make final decision but since this response was given to Galatasaray their is been talks about transfer fees which is given by Trabzonspor and been satisfied by Emre Akbaba side. This could also been read as sign that Galatasaray should be given higher for them to reconsider and start negotiations. Meanwhile, Emre Akbaba has stated according reports but first clubs should agree with each other for him to make final word.

Cenk Tosun early goals has led Turkey to get a comfortable win against Finland.

Two early goals scored by Cenk Tosun during World Cup Qualifier Group I 5th week game against Finnish National Team has led for Turkish National Team to get an comfortable win at must-win game for Turkey to still has some chances to end at top 2 places at the qualifying group.

From the game it became visible that Turkish National Team aim was to get two early goals against Finland which are known to show good defence and then control game discipline as was observed at previous games. Taking account of style of Finland and teams like that this was smartest tactic by Fatih Terim and it has perfectly come to reality with Cenk Tosun two goals scored during 9th and 13th minute. It could been argued that Turkey has after 2nd goal has reduced tempo a lot however with taking account that Finland was not providing very good attacking football the tactic to be working until last whistle. Of course, looking at performance Turkish National Team didnt provide its best football and needs lots of areas to improve for upcoming games at this qualifying stages especially against Croatia, Ukraine,and Iceland but it got result which it was seeking for. Meanwhile, Cenk Tosun carries on his great performance which he has shown at the Besiktas and certainly has become key player of the Turkish national team at the game today, while other players did fail a bit in individual aspects.

Finnish National Team has been focussed as been stated prior to team has been focussed into defensive and stopping of Turkish attacks but conceding too early goals has spoilt all of their plans and it has led them to risk football due of scoreline at the 2nd half as it wanted at least to show good performance. Finland did provide good performance but didnt threat much Turkey at this game.

UEFA has given 3-game ban to Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar at European competitions.

UEFA has announced long-awaited ban to the Besiktas player Vincent Aboubakar following Europa League last 16 2nd leg game against Olympiakos for the needless red card which he has recieved during 2nd half. UEFA has provided ban for 3 games which means that he will not be able to compete at upcoming European competition games.

In other words, Vincent Aboubakar will not be able to help Besiktas at the upcoming quarter-final game against Olympique Lyon both games and also if it manages to pass French side he will not be able to play for 1st leg game during semi-final. Sadly for Aboubakar and nature of that red card, and also taking account that he is being at good form recently, the following news would be bad news for Besiktas and it would be expected that if Besiktas didnt manage to get through Lyon at the quarter-final he would recieve lots of blame. Aboubakar apart of providing needless sending off in recent games, has also improved with his performance and in all fairness has played an important role for Besiktas to be at the quarter-final with two goals scored to Olympiakos in previous round.

Manchester United are interested to transfer Trabzonspor player Yusuf Yazici.

Due of national team break and not much activity at the clubs, Turkish media as usual start focussing into early transfer rumours which could be dominating this summer or might not even happen. One of those eye-catching rumours is that Manchester United has joined PSV Eindhoven in its interest to transfer Trabzonspor player Yusuf Yazici.

It is known by Turkish football followers that Trabzonspor has provided big U-Turn at its performance compare to the 2016 in this year and one of the key reasons for this to happen has been a performance by Yusuf Yazici so it should be treated pretty normal of this rumour. Even through Manchester United rumour might be too overacting, PSV Eindhoven and other European clubs could easily get big interest with Yazici and taking account that Trabzonspor still has chance to get to the Europa League spot in the end of the season, his performance there if he stays after summer would turn even more heads. It needs to be noted more importantly that following poor performance by the Turkish National Team at the Euro 2016, Turkish National Team would be coming at the most calm condition without any scandals, questions at the squad and any other polemics topics set by the media or by the team. This would probably provide a possible aspect at the team even through there were arguments beforehand that Turkish National Team does perform pretty well during crises. Arsenal are interested to transfer Barcelona player Arda Turan.

One of the most talking transfer rumours which was discussed today at the footballing world is news from British media that Arsenal plans to provide 30 million euro offer to the Barcelona player Arda Turan. With such an amount it believed that Barcelona might have trouble at saying no if this is true.

Another rumour which has been going around Turkish sports media is an interested to loan Borussia Dortmund Turkish wunderkind Emre Mor for 1 year with using fact that he doesnt play a lot at the German side.

The idea and argument from Besiktas is to state that Emre Mor could recieve lots of game-time and get an experience after which he could return back to the Germany. According to reports,both club and Mor seeing this idea as good one and would bring both parties as a win. It is known that Borussia Dortmund head coach Thomas Tuchel has full trust towards future of Emre Mor and his role at the team but due of inexperience he doesnt want to play him a lot. Another aspect here is that Emre Mor tends to be too self-focussed at the field with some selfcentred reactions and moves which also brings Tuchel lack of playing him a lot.
