Kerim Frei 2 goals has brought win to Besiktas against Darica Genclerbirligi.

Besiktas had some surprising difficulty  at beating Darica Genclerbirligi at the 1st game of the group stage at the Turkish Cup even through it could be explained due of team playing with youngsters who hardly had experienced time to play at the senior team and also poor condition of the field in Izmit.

With the team focussing towards Super League 13th week game against Fenerbahce and Champions League 6th week game against Dinamo Kiev, Besiktas quite naturally didnt take following game too seriuosly also taking account that their opponents are at 4th tier at the league system. The first half it needs to be stated passed without any dangerous moments at both sides with both teams playing more controlling football. Most important factor of the game has been certainly two goals scored by Besiktas Kerim Frei which brought a win to team, as draw could brought some difficulties to the team if their have lost the game. That is of course if Besiktas wants to get to knockout stages. The big gap between sides has surely decided the winner, since Besiktas was way behind of its players both performance wise and also squad and Kerim Frei will to show himself to the team to the head coach Senol Gunes that he still has some quality as player has decided winner at the end of the day.

Darica Genclerbirligi has certainly has recieved today a rare opportunity to have a competitive game against one of the top teams in the country and it needs to be stated that with its calibre it did give its best in the game which includes scoring a goal. But it would have tough games at this group with Boluspor, Kayserispor at the group.

Besiktas would certainly now give all focus until 3rd December to the Super League 13th week derby game against Fenerbahce as it is known that there was decision not to talk about the game to the media of everyone who is involved with club.

Fenerbahce reserves have chance to prove themselves to Dick Advocaat tomorrow.

Fenerbahce will start its Turkish Cup campaign of 2016-17 season with the first game at the group stage against Genclerbirligi as it would be among few games at the 1st week where two Super League teams will meet against each other.

With the crucial derby coming up on 3rd December against Besiktas, Fenerbahce is expected to be played with substitutes and reserve players who would have chance to prove themselves to the head coach Dick Advocaat. Dick Advocaat is known to be honest with selection of the team with playing players who are proving themselves to him which includes like Robin van Persie, Aatif Chachechouhue while punishing ones who dont. So this game would be a great chance for those players to get into eye for Dick Advocaat at which he would likely to work on building team for a future from this youth performance. Genclerbirligi who are having good season, is likely to bring more experienced players at its squad but also not expected to play with its main players either.

Genclerbirligi would likely to see this game as good opportunity to beat Fenerbahce at this relatively easy group and get control of the group using the chance of team focus more into Besiktas game into this weekend. But Dick Advocaat would surely prefer for team to get a win, even if he will not expect high level of football with squad at the game.

Galatasaray comes out as strong favourite against Elazigspor.

Galatasaray carries on its defence of the Turkish Cup which it has won last season with the game against Elazigspor at the group stage 1st week game and expects to be introduced by the relatively reserve team.

Elazigspor is currently is competing at the TFF. 1st league (2nd tier at the league system) located at the relegation zone with 1 point behind the safety. It is not having great start for its campaign at the league and hence is in vulnerable and weak situation,which certainly makes their task even more difficult against Galatasaray. Galatasaray is expected to be played with players who dont recieve enough time at this season and possibly using number of youth players but even with that it would be expected that their would dominate game and control it from start to end. There is some expectation that Galatasaray at this Turkish Cup would aim to provide good performance as past winners and possibly secure the title. Elazigspor needs to be brave during the game and believe itself if it wants to give dissapointment to Galatasaray.

The win against Elazigspor would raise motivation for Galatasaray following success after Bursaspor at the league and as a team would certainly look to achieve succussful end to the year of the 2016 with sportive results.
