What happened in Turkish football today? 27.11.2016
Fenerbahce gets confident win against Rizespor despite conceding first.
Fenerbahce carries on great performance at the Super League with this time winning against Rizespor with a confident scoreline of 5:1 during 12th week game, despite of playing 1st half an hour pretty badly and conceding a very simple goal.
However, taking away poor start of the game by Fenerbahce with Moussa Sow founding his 1st goal at the 27th minute, team has become dominating game until the end of the game not allowing Rizespor to have any control with addition that Rizespor also start playing game very poorly without creating any chances and having control. The main hero of this confident win has certainly been hat-trick scored by the Moussa Sow who has shown his best game since returning from Al-Ahli in the summer. In game wise, this has been best performance by the team so far and surely would provide an incredible motivation to the Turkish Cup game against Genclerbirligi on 30th November and more important against Besiktas at the derby game which is one of the important games of this season for a team so far.
Rizespor did start great start showing an attacking positive football but their didnt manage to show any reaction after conceding 1st goal and with Fenerbahce scoring even more goals, Rizespor has carried on providing even worser performance. Team needs to take this game as reference of mistakes which were done and find solutions for upcoming games.
Fenerbahce carries on its impressive performance at recent games following today's game and has shown that it has set an eye to catch with top teams including with Besiktas with who it will meet next weekend whose scoreline will decide fate of whole league.
Trabzonspor carries on showing poor performance this time against Genclerbirligi.
Trabzonspor carries on providing poor performance at the Super League as it has drawn with 0:0 scoreline with Genclerbirligi and carries on staying at the danger zone with 2 points ahead of drop-zone.
The fact that Genclerbirligi player Zeki Yavru has recieved red card on 28th minute due of dangerous foul has only shown that Trabzonspor situation is not too bright as it didnt manage to find an important goal against Ankara side for longer than 1 hour period. Trabzonspor didnt manage to create dangerous attacks and didnt show any organisation at the attack and hence has lacked any positive football performance which could led them to a win. In fact, Genclerbirligi who was missing one player and naturally played defensively was more controlling game during the game and it is clear that if game was played 11-on-11, Genclerbirligi was closer to win. This poor performance by Trabzonspor is taking too long and could affect to the patience of the fans and also administrators who until now has defended and supported club head coach Ersun Yanal.
Genclerbirligi meanwhile has shown pretty positive football with having one player less for 60 minutes of the game and has been more willing to win the game despite of the situation and should be praised for brave football.
Trabzonspor needs urgently start winning or it would get into real risk of getting to the drop zone and even through there is still enough time to safe itself this recent poor performance would certainly not help them.
Both Besiktas and Basaksehirspor has shown everyone why their didnt lose single game so far this season
Performance by the Besiktas and Basaksehirspor during Super League 12th week game against each other has proven to everyone why their are leaders of the Super League so far at this season. This performance yesterday has also shown why both teams didnt lose game at this season.
Both teams has shown football to everyone which showed that their wanted to win the game. It needs to be stated however that Basaksehirspor has dominated and controlled tempo of the game even more during 1st half where it had created high number of the chances and could see themselves as losing 3 points at the end of the game. Besiktas could meanwhile has state that this poor performance was due of the tiredness which came from very intense Champions League game against Benfica on 23rd November. However and even through the tiredness from the games has certainly been present, Besiktas does need to get used to the busy scheduling if it wants to be successful at both of the tournaments. Meanwhile, games referee Cuneyt Cakir decision not to give yellow card to Ricardo Quaresma, which was clearly needed, has been likely dominated to save him for derby game against Fenerbahce next week. Basaksehispor in other hand is expected to show such an dominating football in upcoming weeks and has been arleady seen as one of the league contenders with season getting close to midway.
Besiktas would play a crucial game against Fenerbahce on 4th December and prior to that will meet at Turkish Cup group stage 1st week game against Darica Genclerbirligi on 29th November where it would aim for win with likely its youth squad. The main focus would be given next week for sure to derby game by team.
