What happened in Turkish football today? 08.06.2016
Turkish National Team needs to stay focussed and stay away from injuries before first game against Croatia.
All of the focus right now is given to the kick-off of the first game at the Group D between Turkey and Croatia which will take place at 16:00 on 12th June in the Paris. The players would be expecting to give their best at the opening game for Turkey at the Euro2016.
Turkish National Team would be coming to the game at the high motivation after having successful friendlies period where in 7 game period it has only lost to England, in Manchester. Compare to some other clubs, even through it has some injuries such as Serdar Aziz, is coming out at their best squad and it would be especially important for players to stay away from injuries during training sessions and at the games as each player is very important for the team. As been mentioned several times at our blog the players are at the right mood and motivation and training sessions taking place in France would surely help them to be more focussed to the tournament.
It is important not to show any signs of fear at the game against Croatia on 12th June but in same time play with respect to the opponents and provide brave football which would help them to get great result at opening game of the competition.
Croatia are among tough teams at the Euro2016
For the next three days or entries our blog would focus to the Turkish National Team opponents at the Euro2016, starting with its first opponent Croatia, with who it has rich recent history.
Croatia are among strong team at the team with players such as Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic being at the squad among the few. Even through the biggest memory in the minds of Turkish fans goes to the incredible win at the quarter-finals of the Euro2006, Turkey and Croatia has also met during Euro 2012 play-off where things didnt go as planned for Turkey, with losing first game with 3:0 scoreline. Croatia hence will not be too much worried about past and will play its best football which can be effective. It is has good squad with players around big European clubs so Turkey just needs to make sure that it will provide strong defence against them.
Croatia are among favourites to get through group stage but so are all in this group, in fact this group can be called "group of death" and Turkey will need luck and full focus against its opponents including Croatia in the tournament.
Manchester United interested to transfer unwanted Fenerbahce player Luis Nani.
Fenerbahce made it more clearer to the Luis Nani that their dont want him to stay for next season, and taking account that Nani himself didnt want to stay at the club has led him for looking for new team.
Among the transfer rumours taking place at each day in Turkish media, today's rumour stated that Manchester United are interested to transfer its older player. It was known that Nani was looking forward to go back to Premier League. It is rumoured that he stated that he is too young for Chinese clubs for now, seeing it as league for people who want to retire (and he is right to do so). Fact that Manchester United are interested to transfer its old player is good news for Fenerbahce and United would probably offer good amount of cash for its player to the Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce needs to sell its players with good fee so it can used it to purchase good players despite of UEFA regulations.
