What happened in Turkish football today? 29.06.2016
Clubs have hard job to convince foreign players that Istanbul safe after Ataturk airport attack.
Another terror attack has took place in Istanbul, this time at one of the most busiest airports in the world, Ataturk Airport which has led death of 42 innocent people and 239 injuries at the time of writing. This attack once again raises question of security of the players, and of course of the citizens and tourists in the overall in the Turkey.
As transfer season is under the way right now in the Turkey, this developments might also affect into signing of the foreign players in this summer transfer window. There are reports that Schalke 04 player Roman Neustadner has arrived to Istanbul one-hour before the terror attack and also
Kayserispor head coach Hakan Kutlu was present during the attack as he has arrived from Brasil after having negotiations with some players. Adanaspor newly-signed player didnt attend first pre-season training session due of cancellation of flights. Surely following events would play an important role at the decision of those players. As remembered, when Mario Gomez was loaned to Besiktas he was reluctant to stay in Istanbul due of all this terror events. Therefore, clubs around Turkey has hard job to convince foreign players that Istanbul safe, even through number of citizens in the country dont believe that themselves.
This event also could lead to star players leaving the country or not coming at all and hence there are arleady signs that number of international star players would fall down next season this could also affect their decision.
Mainz05 signs Galatasaray player Jose Rodriguez for 4 years.
German club Mainz 05 has transferred unwanted Galatasaray player Jose Rodriguez for 4 years and would allow hence to make some cash to Galatasaray for summer transfers while Rodriguez would have chance to prove himself as good player in the Germany.
Rodriguez was among players who was expecting to bring a lot to Galatasaray when he was signed but he didnt provide it with his full scale. It needs to be stated that Rodriguez is by himself, to all fairness to him, is not top player and in fact club like Mainz05 would be more suitable for him in sense of showing his quality. Galatasaray would just be happy that this transfer has taken place in first month of summer as there is also other players, like Tarik Camdal, who it plans to sell and find other transfers and use revenue from transfer fees to make them reality. The club has gained 2,750,000 euro from this transfer.
Galatasaray is likely to provide more help to the development to Jose Rodriguez rather than he did to the team and it is expected that he would be help to mediocre teams like Mainz.
Trabzonspor are interested to transfer Balazs Dzudsiak.
Trabzonspor are interested to transfer Bursaspor and Hungarian National Team player Balasz Dzudzsak who had shown great performance at the Euro2016 this summer for his country and becoming one of the memorable names at the whole tournament.
Bursaspor is reported to be interested to sell Dzudzsak this summer and make some cash from his good performance at the Euro2016 so it could be good news that Trabzonspor is showing interest for him. But Trabzonspor surely needs to work fast to conclude this transfer as number of European top teams are expected to also start negotiations with Hungarian star after Euro2016. In either way, it does seem that Bursaspor in the end of the day would be in winning side.
Trabzonspor would have an advantage by signing a quality player who is also used to Turkish Super League so it is expected that it would do anything which it can do to transfer him.
