What happened in Turkish football today? 10.06.2016

This could be one of the most exciting Euros to date.

Today's blog entry would be entirely focussing into the Euro2016 with 1st article focussing at the overview of the tournament, 2nd into analyses of Turkish National Team and to end this blog will be with Czech Republic analysis. Euro2016 has finally started today with the game between host France and potential surprise pack Romania.

The main favourites of the tournament are have been seen as Germany with their great form lately and also hosts France due of being host and also providing one of the best squads it had for around last 10 years. Another factor is also that France has won also Euro'84 and also World Cup'98 two tournaments which it had hosted. Another team which takes attention at this tournament and expect to be in semis are England and Spain. England has also great squad similar to France but it does raise question if their will go all the way as it seems to be issue for them for long time.

With the new format and rise of teams it is also open for number of the surprises which could be provided from Iceland, Romania, Hungary and of course Turkey. This could be one of the best tournaments and even through it does recieve some criticisms, their are same reasons why it can be great tournament from factors which from first view makes it look like bad tournament.

Turkish National Team has great squad at its hand.

For Turkish National Team, which has travelled to Paris today, the tournament would officially start on 12th June in the game against Croatia, the game which could for now bring some flashbacks from 2008. This game as been stated several times before is very important as with the system its important to start with a win group stage so have calmer continuation of tournament for other 2 games in this stage.

Turkish National Team head coach Fatih Terim has for sure now has made his mind about system how team would  play with using Burak Yilmaz being used as an attacker, as it was one of the big questions prior to the tournament. Even through Burak injury does raise some questions about his readiness, his performance against Slovenia at the last friendly game does give some raise of hopes. Some of the other key players is expected  to be stars from Turkey are Hakan Calhanoglu and Emre Mor which also seem to appear at the rankings list around Europe prior to start of the tournament, who could provide great performance at the tournament. Turkish National Team does in fact has very strong squad and with the top game it can achieve lots of things from this tournament.

This is very tough group for Turkey and getting out from this group, and especially as top 2 place without worrying of 3rd place contention would provide lots of motivation and might make knockout stage more confident for Turkish players.

Czech Republic game could be most crucial for Turkey as last game at the group stage.

As been stated yesterday at the blog, it is hard to call specific team which would be placed as 4th place at the group which provides surely extra excitement for this particular group. Czech Republic also has long history with Turkish National Team meeting them at Euro2008 last game group game and also during Euro2016 qualifiers, which it ended 2nd place.

Czech Republic is not coming as very strong team compare to Euro2008 but it is still tough team with good experienced players at the squad. This game in similar manner as 8 years ago could become easier as decider for both teams and it also important how Czechs play with Spain and Croatia prior to 3rd week game against Turkey. The situation would change on the day regarding who has better advantage prior to game at the group. Turkey however in similar manner can beat them as their managed to do in Euro2008 and at Euro2016 qualifier, with both teams knowing each other very well.

With the format this game when would be played could be one of the most exciting games of the tournament at least at group stage but ofcourse results prior to this game are important for both teams.
