What happened in Turkish football today? 03.06.2016

Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim has recieved 3 month ban due of his comments.

Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim has recieved 3 months ban for visiting any sporting events for his statements after Turkish Cup final stating that Galatasaray is the main team which does match-fixing all the time in the Turkey.

After that statement, Antalya court has started criminal case against Fenerbahce CEO  and has come to conclusion that he would recieve 3 months ban for attending any sporting events. Aziz Yildirim following match-fixing investigation in 2013 has donelots of statements towards Galatasaray stating that club had done matchfixing before and he would release those proves as he has them in hand. However, those proves were never released and questions if their even exist has arisen. Stating that, it can be said for sure that his statements were likely to be true as control over match-fixing was not done regularly before that investigation and sports law released in 2012. Still Yildirim did wrong thing to make this statements as it was clearly made to reduce the status of Galatasaray.

The decision could be seen as bit harsh but it is right one as those statements should be stated in more careful manner and with respect to its opponents.

Rizespor signs Recep Niyaz.

Rizespor has signed 21-year old Denizlispor player Recep Niyaz which has come from Fenerbahce academy and was always seen as future star in the Turkey. Even through he still didnt show his performance at top level, he is still young and his move to Rizespor could be big chance to show his capabilities once again.

It is important for teams like Rizespor, mediocre top tier teams in other words, to try to provide lots of playing time to youngsters especially taking account that big clubs are lacking to do that. The best way for players to develop is to get lots of playing time and as pressure is low at teams like Rizespor, youth players are able to develop in much better way. The following transfer would also be big help for Rizespor as it would strength them for next season and try to fight for top side of the table.

Recep Niyaz has another chance to perform top tier football after playing at lower league and has chance to show his capabilities to Turkish football fans once again.

However, it is known that team players are having a great motivation right now and it is crucial to keep like that after the international friendly game against Slovenia to which it would only need to win. Croatia game meanwhile is very crucial for Turkey as the result could identify rest of the tournament for them as very like all other teams including Croatia are aware of prior to game as feeling passion at Turkish National Team is not secret to anyone who are into football around world.
