Turkish National Team is going to Euro 2016 with a win against Slovenia and good mood.
Turkish national team had completed its last friendly game with winning against Slovenia with 1:0 scoreline at the Ljublijana. Despite of not great football provided by Turkish national team it was important for them to win the game and go with high motivation to the France.
Turkish national team has started with an attacking football scoring its 1st goal at 5th minute by Burak Yilmaz at the set-pieces. After that, it had started providing more slower and careful football with possibly of not getting injuries prior to 1st Euro2016 game against Croatia on 12th June. With Slovenia providing nice chances and number of dangerous attacks, it was again a good game which was shown by Turkish goalkeeper Volkan Babacan once again showing that the goal is in good hands prior to Euro 2016. The goal by Burak Yilmaz and him starting at starting 11 raises questions if their going to use him as starting 11 player at the Euro2016 proper. It was meanwhile important for Yilmaz to score first goal after 9 months period. But this case shows that there will be strong fight for the attacking position during the tournament.
Turkey has got an important win prior to Croatia game and would go to tournament at high mood with losing only one game against England in duration of last 15 games. Turkey is having very hard group but with good football and high self-belief it can get to knock-out stage.
Slovenia has provided meanwhile great test prior to Euro2016 to Turkey with showing them what difficulties their could recieve . Slovenia was playing more active and open football as it didnt have risk of getting injuries.
Fenerbahce did right thing to give second chance to Pereira.
Fenerbahce CEO Aziz Yildirim has stated that the team will carry on with head coach Vitor Pereira during next season. Even through many supporters would be dissapointed with such a decision, this blog once again would state that it is good decision.
It is dangerous to qualify capability of coaches with titles and make decision to keep them or not in that way. One of the reason why Fenerbahce has got only half of the league titles in reign of Aziz Yildirim is due of constant change of head coaches when their being unsuccessfull and in some case when their been successful like was case with Ersun Yanal. Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira in duration of last season has made lots of mistakes where were mentioned here but there was also external factors such as behaviour and seriousness of some of the players. Everyone deserves second chance and Fenerbahce should give that chance to Pereira.
Vitor Pereira is likely to be made some changes at the squad during this summer transfer window and being more familiar with Turkish league might better now how to act during the games of pretty difficult league.
Besiktas main focus is to transfer defender this summer.
It is clear that Besiktas main focus to the summer transfer window would be strenghting its defence which could be especially crucial for Champions League games. Names associated with Besiktas are all from defence right now therefore.
One of the most talked player is Emanuel Mas, Martin Skrtel, Daniel Agger among others and it is important to get such a name which would be able to provide performance agaisnt strong teams coming at the Champions League. With Atiba Hutchinson being certain to leave to England this summer there is only Marcelo Guedes and this factor, even if Marcelo is providing great performance and Necip Uysal being good at defence, is not enough for Besiktas for next season.
It is unclear if Besiktas would focus into other areas of transfers this summer, but surely it will not start them until it solves defence issue at the team.
