What happened in Turkish football today? 26.06.2016

Besiktas expects to transfer Gokhan Gonul as early as 28th June.

Besiktas are getting closer to sign ex-Fenerbahce player Gokhan Gonul with rumours coming out that official signing will take place on 28th June at the Vodafone Arena. He would become first player to sign with the team at the Vodafone Arena since its opening back in May.

As soon as it became clear that Gokhan Gonul will not stay at the Fenerbahce and even prior to that
Besiktas has started intensive negotiations with him and did manage to make deal as soon as he ended contract with Fenerbahce and when  Euro2016 has started. Besiktas has made a deal of 3 years with a salary of 1,700,000 euro and has made a very good transfer which surely would put into winning positions of both party even through it is known that Gokhan Gonul wanted to stay at his previous club but didnt happen due of conflicts between both sides.

Besiktas plans also to bring some supporters at the transfer ceremony and make it memorable one for everyone as it would be first one at the stadium. But more importantly it does look like Gokhan Gonul is capable to make team stronger for next season.

Fenerbahce will sign Gregory van del Wiel on 4th July.

Fenerbahce is starting having countdown until its first transfer which is expects to be PSG player Gregory van del Wiel who has informed to the club that he will be ready to sign contract on 4th July in Istanbul, according to the rumours around Turkish sports media.

As been mentioned at our previous blog entry, Gregory van del Wiel will be great transfer for the team for both sides and compare to the previous star players he does have chance to become player who would provide good performance as did Mario Gomez in Besiktas but of course it could be similar as Robin van Persie and Nani. Fenerbahce expects to sign him for 4 years. One of the important decision for Gregory van del Wiel was city of Istanbul itself which always been advantage for foreign players joining Istanbul clubs to extend that ex-Besiktas player Pascal Nouma is decided to live in the city.

Gregory van del Wiel as the player would make Fenerbahce much stronger as it aims to get to the Champions League while qualification or at least do good at Europa League in upcoming season.

Trabzonspor are close to sign Fabian Castillo.

Trabzonspor is known at showing strong interest to Dallas player Fabian Castillo in the way to make their team stronger for the next season as it tries to make team which would be able to fight for league title.

Fabian Castillo might not be well known for Turkish media and in fact it is hard to analyse him but statistics show that he is one of the leading players at the team. It is estimated that his value is around 1.2 million dollars which would mean that their will purchase him for not too much price as it needs also be careful with its transfer budget due of UEFA agreement as many other Turkish  clubs had with them. It is reported that Castillo wants to join the team and carry on his career at the Europe. This transfer, if Castillo shows his best performance and does come into reality can make team much stronger.

Trabzonspor is going through big revision and does look to do some signings without spending too much cash so it does need to look over good not-to-expensive players to make their team stronger next season.
