What happened in Turkish football today? 04.06.2016
Turkey would have its last test prior to Euro2016 against Slovenia.
Turkish National Team would play its last friendly game against Slovenia prior to Euro 2016 1st game against Croatia on 12th June. This is the last chance for Fatih Terim students to provide its another test prior to crucial games at its group stage at Euro 2016.
It will be very important game to provide very careful performance with trying to avoid any injuries but in same time providing fighting spirit during the game as it would be important for the players to get a win and keep motivation at highest prior to start of the Euro2016. With Slovenia playing at home and not able to get through tournament while losing at the play-off stage against Ukraine means that it is good team and not far from level of Euro 2016 teams. This game would be a great game to get into right mood for the start of the Euro 2016 as only week left until start of the tournament. With this game we would also get a clearer picture of the starting 11 at the team which would be used at the tournament.
Turkish National Team does need to use following game at the right way and use this test to see some areas which needs to be improved prior to kick-off against Croatia.
Bruno Alves is close to be moved to Cagliari.
It became clear that Fenerbahce player Bruno Alves would be leaving the team for sure now being very close at making deal with Italian club Cagliari. There is also news that Alves has made an agreement with Italian side.
Interestingly, Bruno Alves father and also his manager Washington Alves does not seem happy with this transfer and still wants for his son to finish his career at own country at the Porto but today's rumours show that it is more likely that Alves new club would be Cagliari. Bruno Alves done lots of important things in his career at the Fenerbahce but for now him staying at the team would be doing more harm as he start playing even more agressive football and also his speed is not as same as before. For now, its important for Fenerbahce to sell Alves in a way which would make lots of cash to the team.
Cagliari are among team which will be able to provide some cash and in same time would also like to have Bruno Alves at latter stages of his career.
Xabi Alonso is seen as alternative to Atiba Hutchinson in Besiktas.
Besiktas does seem to find the alternative to its player Atiba Hutchinson who seems to be sure to move to West Ham United with rumours that he has told his wish to leave to club's administrators including CEO Fikret Orman.
As an alternative to him, Besiktas are interested to sign Bayern Munich player Xavi Alonso who it is rumoured Bayer Munich planning to sell anyway due if his age. Even through for most teams 36-year old is big risk, Besiktas aims to get use of his experience and skills as an advantage and if this transfer would come true it would strengh Besiktas a lot if he plays his top football (case which is always uncertain in Turkey). It is certainly also unclear if Xabi Alonso would be coming to Besiktas but with his age he might have trouble at getting any decent transfer offers right now.
Besiktas would gain a lot from Xabi Alonso, in similar manner as from Mario Gomez and it could be good help for Alonso to come to his last years of conclusion with such a team which is also at Champions League next season.
