Clubs have hard job to convince foreign players that Istanbul safe after Ataturk airport attack.
Another terror attack has took place in Istanbul, this time at one of the most busiest airports in the world, Ataturk Airport which has led death of 42 innocent people and 239 injuries at the time of writing. This attack once again raises question of security of the players, and of course of the citizens and tourists in the overall in the Turkey.
As transfer season is under the way right now in the Turkey, this developments might also affect into signing of the foreign players in this summer transfer window. There are reports that Schalke 04 player Roman Neustadner has arrived to Istanbul one-hour before the terror attack and also
Kayserispor head coach Hakan Kutlu was present during the attack as he has arrived from Brasil after having negotiations with some players. Adanaspor newly-signed player didnt attend first pre-season training session due of cancellation of flights. Surely following events would play an important role at the decision of those players. As remembered, when Mario Gomez was loaned to Besiktas he was reluctant to stay in Istanbul due of all this terror events. Therefore, clubs around Turkey has hard job to convince foreign players that Istanbul safe, even through number of citizens in the country dont believe that themselves.
This event also could lead to star players leaving the country or not coming at all and hence there are arleady signs that number of international star players would fall down next season this could also affect their decision.
Mainz05 signs Galatasaray player Jose Rodriguez for 4 years.
German club Mainz 05 has transferred unwanted Galatasaray player Jose Rodriguez for 4 years and would allow hence to make some cash to Galatasaray for summer transfers while Rodriguez would have chance to prove himself as good player in the Germany.
Rodriguez was among players who was expecting to bring a lot to Galatasaray when he was signed but he didnt provide it with his full scale. It needs to be stated that Rodriguez is by himself, to all fairness to him, is not top player and in fact club like Mainz05 would be more suitable for him in sense of showing his quality. Galatasaray would just be happy that this transfer has taken place in first month of summer as there is also other players, like Tarik Camdal, who it plans to sell and find other transfers and use revenue from transfer fees to make them reality. The club has gained 2,750,000 euro from this transfer.
Galatasaray is likely to provide more help to the development to Jose Rodriguez rather than he did to the team and it is expected that he would be help to mediocre teams like Mainz.
Trabzonspor are interested to transfer Balazs Dzudsiak.
Trabzonspor are interested to transfer Bursaspor and Hungarian National Team player Balasz Dzudzsak who had shown great performance at the Euro2016 this summer for his country and becoming one of the memorable names at the whole tournament.
Bursaspor is reported to be interested to sell Dzudzsak this summer and make some cash from his good performance at the Euro2016 so it could be good news that Trabzonspor is showing interest for him. But Trabzonspor surely needs to work fast to conclude this transfer as number of European top teams are expected to also start negotiations with Hungarian star after Euro2016. In either way, it does seem that Bursaspor in the end of the day would be in winning side.
Trabzonspor would have an advantage by signing a quality player who is also used to Turkish Super League so it is expected that it would do anything which it can do to transfer him.

UEFA sends Cuneyt Cakir early from Euro2016.
It became clear today that UEFA has send back to Turkey, Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir from France where he was refereeing for Euro2016 games with his last game being yesterday's Spain and Italy game. This announcement has been seen as surprise but many people inside Turkey and probably around the world.
With Cuneyt Cakir being one of the most trusted referees at the UEFA, which could be seen from appointing him in most toughest last 16 at the Euro2016 between Spain and Italy it was surprise to send him so early and there was expectation that he would be refereeing at the semi-final stages. One of the theories why he was send so early was suggested as the fact that he will be refereeing football competitions at the Rio Olympics which would take place on August. He also did recieve lots of criticism by Spain for his refereeing at the game against Italy but it is unlikely to be reason as he did do great job from neutral perspective.
Turkish people should be proud of his performance at the Euro2016 and surely he did better job than footballers at the tournament. It is surely that he wasnt send earlier due of his performance at the tournament.
Valencia has made agreement to sign Luis Nani.
Valencia has announced today that it did make deal with Fenerbahce player Luis Nani for the transfer and is expected to make deal with club for 8.5 million euro due of release clause which was stated at the contract with the player.
Fenerbahce did announce as soon as previous season was over that it intends to sell Luis Nani, among Robin van Persie, this summer and it was clear due of age and performance wise that Nani would be easier transfer. It does needs to be clear that Luis Nani did had better performance at Euro2016 compare at Fenerbahce and also has good tournament for himself so it should not be suprise for such an interest given by Valencia in the beginning of transfer window. Fenerbahce would recieve extra 8.5 million euro from this transfer and use this cash for other transfers including with potential signing of PSG player Gregory van del Wiel.
It needs to be said that Luis Nani did have good moments at the Fenerbahce but he could not give consistency at the team which led him to leave the team and get a good transfer to La Liga side Valencia.
Super League 2016-17 season will start on 19th August.

The winter break would start on 26th December and will last for 2 weeks and it would be having extra week as it will be lasting for 18 weeks. As expected there will be always World Cup 2018 qualifiers during the season also. Otherwise, the system would be same as previous season with only exception that their will not be mid-week games compare to previous season where it happened twice due of parliamentary election in Turkey and also due of international friendly game against England.

Bursaspor has announced agreement to transfer Serdar Kurtulus
Bursaspor has announced today that it has made 3 year deal with Besiktas player Serdar Kurtulus, and this transfer would surely help assist them to become stronger team and be a good alternative for the Serdar Aziz who it had sold to Galatasaray earlier this summer.
Serdar Kurtulus is a quality player who unfortunately to him is not in same level as other Besiktas players and sadly doesnt fit into the aims which team are looking for next season. However, Bursaspor does need player like him for next season as it is surely looking for much better performance compare to previous season as the team in overall, both administrator and supporters. Bursaspor as a team has always been aiming to get to the Europa League contention in the end of the season but some things didnt work out this season especially with the poor start of previous season. Team does need to make some quality transfers and Serdar Aziz is start for them for sure.
This transfer, assuming signaturies would be done in upcoming days, would be also great opportunity for Kurtulus where he would be able to get lots more playing time and once again show his quality in the league.
Salih Ucan and Emmanuel Emenike join Fenerbahce pre-season training.
Fenerbahce has organised today its first pre-season training session where it has called its two player Emmanuel Emenike and Salih Ucan who were loaned last season to West Ham United and Roma respectively.
There are talks that both players are very likely to stay at the team for next season and giving them chance to join with the team during pre-season training session is a good sign and does seem that it aims to make advantage of this players during next season. Meanwhile, there is also no inclusion at pre-season squad of Diego Rybas which once again shows that he is being unwanted man at the team right now. Club is awaiting for him to find another team or otherwise he would either train alone or with 2nd team squad next season.
This pre-season period is very important for Fenerbahce and so are transfers as it would aim to improve a lot from the past season performance and hence would work into ways on how to make team more stronger and together for next season.
Besiktas carries on negotiations with Gustavo Gomez.
The interest of the Besiktas with Lanus player Gustavo Gomez carries on as the manager of the player Augusto Paraja has stated that he has recieved an offer from Besiktas.
He also stated that there were offer from Fenerbahce but right now Besiktas is showing much more seriousness and the fact that Besiktas were interested with him for long time is not been secret around Turkish footballing world. It is reported that Lanus is requesting 7 million euro for transfer which needs to be stated is not big fee compare to other names which are taking place around Turkey this summer. It does seem that Besiktas is taking this transfer seriously and would go until the end to transfer him.
We would see in upcoming days or even weeks if this transfer would come into reality but it would surely solve defence issue which team has right now.

Besiktas expects to transfer Gokhan Gonul as early as 28th June.
Besiktas are getting closer to sign ex-Fenerbahce player Gokhan Gonul with rumours coming out that official signing will take place on 28th June at the Vodafone Arena. He would become first player to sign with the team at the Vodafone Arena since its opening back in May.
As soon as it became clear that Gokhan Gonul will not stay at the Fenerbahce and even prior to that
Besiktas has started intensive negotiations with him and did manage to make deal as soon as he ended contract with Fenerbahce and when Euro2016 has started. Besiktas has made a deal of 3 years with a salary of 1,700,000 euro and has made a very good transfer which surely would put into winning positions of both party even through it is known that Gokhan Gonul wanted to stay at his previous club but didnt happen due of conflicts between both sides.
Besiktas plans also to bring some supporters at the transfer ceremony and make it memorable one for everyone as it would be first one at the stadium. But more importantly it does look like Gokhan Gonul is capable to make team stronger for next season.
Fenerbahce will sign Gregory van del Wiel on 4th July.
Fenerbahce is starting having countdown until its first transfer which is expects to be PSG player Gregory van del Wiel who has informed to the club that he will be ready to sign contract on 4th July in Istanbul, according to the rumours around Turkish sports media.
As been mentioned at our previous blog entry, Gregory van del Wiel will be great transfer for the team for both sides and compare to the previous star players he does have chance to become player who would provide good performance as did Mario Gomez in Besiktas but of course it could be similar as Robin van Persie and Nani. Fenerbahce expects to sign him for 4 years. One of the important decision for Gregory van del Wiel was city of Istanbul itself which always been advantage for foreign players joining Istanbul clubs to extend that ex-Besiktas player Pascal Nouma is decided to live in the city.
Gregory van del Wiel as the player would make Fenerbahce much stronger as it aims to get to the Champions League while qualification or at least do good at Europa League in upcoming season.
Trabzonspor are close to sign Fabian Castillo.
Trabzonspor is known at showing strong interest to Dallas player Fabian Castillo in the way to make their team stronger for the next season as it tries to make team which would be able to fight for league title.
Fabian Castillo might not be well known for Turkish media and in fact it is hard to analyse him but statistics show that he is one of the leading players at the team. It is estimated that his value is around 1.2 million dollars which would mean that their will purchase him for not too much price as it needs also be careful with its transfer budget due of UEFA agreement as many other Turkish clubs had with them. It is reported that Castillo wants to join the team and carry on his career at the Europe. This transfer, if Castillo shows his best performance and does come into reality can make team much stronger.
Trabzonspor is going through big revision and does look to do some signings without spending too much cash so it does need to look over good not-to-expensive players to make their team stronger next season.

Cuneyt Cakir will referee Euro2016 last 16 game between Italy and Spain.
Turkish referee Cuneyt Cakir, compare to the Turkish National Team, carries on his successful Euro2016 campaign with probably most exciting last 16 game at the tournament between Italy and Spain. UEFA has once again has shown its trust which it gives to Turkish referee.
Cuneyt Cakir has recieved lots of criticism inside Turkey and around Europe, as do most of the referees around the continent, in his previous performance for years but UEFA carries on putting into very important and crucial games including Champions League final last season for him to referee.
This time UEFA has appointed him into the game which has been analysed as early final at the Euro2016 last 16 stage between Italy and Spain. With both teams being very successful so far at the tournament and with high egos of the players at the both sides of the teams it will be hard game to manage for Cakir but he is used to this level of games. As always, his decision will not be 100% correct but he does have strong capability to manage this game well.
Cuneyt Cakir has great chance to put another great game into his CV and mark his point as one of the top referees at the tournament and who knows maybe even get final even if it does seen as far aim right now.
Hamit Altintop would only recieve cash for games played at the next season.
Galatasaray administrators and player Hamit Altintop are reported to make a deal which would keep player at the side for next season without club wasting cash into him for nothing. It is reported that both sides has agreed with Hamit Altintop would only recieve cash for the games he will play and there will be no yearly salary at the deal between both sides.
Last season due of injury Hamit Altintop didnt recieve almost any gaming time which has led for team to pay salary to the player who didnt do anything during season. With FFP issues it has with UEFA it is seen as money wasted for nothing and this was among biggest issues which club needed to solve this summer. With Altintop getting older and recieving high number of injuries, with reports stating that it could be chronic injury, unsurprisingly teams doesnt want to purchase him. Hamit Altintop has suggested to make deal where he would only recieve cash for games he would play at as he wants to stay at the team and end his career, which does look coming to conclusion for him.
This deal surely would save cash to Galatasaray and make both sides satisfied regarding of conditions of the Hamit Altintop.
Roman Neustadner is close to be transferred to Fenerbahce.
Fenerbahce are getting close at making transfer deal with Schalke04 player Roman Neustadner in upcoming days with reported deal of 4 years with 2,000,000 euro salary. This transfer would help to issue defense question, which Fenerbahce having right now as there is no supporter for Simon Kjaer at the side right now.
It could been argued that Neustadner didnt show any satisfying performance at the Euro2016 with Russian National Team but it needs to be stated not a single player did great job during the tournament in Russia and its hard to state out any specific player. Therefore, to state that Neustadner is not good player would be too harsh even through it could be seen that he is not playing to take a lead, but again you would not expect such an important role by defence player. Neustadner did play at the youth team back in German National Team and recieved lots of gaming time at Schalke 04.
Assuming that he would not cost much for a team is also good thing due of UEFA budget agreement.
Neustadner is quality player and could make an important role at the defence of the team and would be good transfer for sure.

Fatih Terim could be best option for Galatasaray head coach place.
Galatasaray is been known to have an interest towards Turkish National Team head coach Fatih Terim for long time now and since Turkey has been eliminated from Euro2016 it might start negotiations with him and Turkish Football Federation.
Fatih Terim has been done his coaching career both at the Galatasaray and national team in which both areas he has recieved great accomplishments even through this campaign at Euro2016 would be seen not being so good. It will be seen as surprising for Galatasaray to be interested with Terim after his failure at the Euro2016 however he is known always to provide great results at the team and might be person to lift up performance next season as his done many times before. There is even rumours that Bursaspor player Emre Tasdemir will only come to team if their appoint Fatih Terim. Right now its all depending on the national team and federation and would their like for Fatih Terim to carry on at the team for World Cup qualifier, and there are stronger signs that their do.
Fatih Terim does seem to be right now best option for Galatasaray but it does have any other choices including caring on with Jan Olde Riekerink which many players and administrators within the team seem to be seeing as good option.
Improving Pereira and van Persie relations could be good option as it is unclear if Persie would leave.
There are possibly will be taking place negotiations between Fenerbahce head coach Vitor Pereira with Robin van Persie to discuss about solutions to the problems which both sides has had past seasons and outcome of this meeting could make decision if he is going to stay at the team or not.
There are strong rumours meanwhile taking place that Lazio are very close to signing him and each party at this negotiations does seem to agree. It is hard to find team which could purchase with nice price so options right now does seem to be Lazio, China or for him staying at the team. It is unlikely that Lazio would offer high transfer amount for Robin van Persie as he is being 35 years old and with Holland not being at the Euro2016 was not able to raise his value. So the option to try to improve with Pereira and van Persie could be the best one. It does also look like van Persie doesnt want to stay at the club either.
If Robin van Persie will be sold successfully than from returned money it could transfer Gregory van del Wiel and Roman Neustadner among other cash which would come from 8 players it has ended contract with.
For now it looks Mario Gomez stays in Besiktas.
The uncertainty regarding of future of the Mario Gomez with Besiktas stays unclear however there is strong rumours going around that Gomez doesnt want to stay at the club.
If that is a case Gomez might have negotiations taking place with his team Fiorentina to try to sort out transfer fee issues and possibly try to reduce that price, this could be good outcome for Besiktas who according to contract was purchasing almost for free but since duration has been expired Besiktas has left with difficulty conditions. Mario Gomez has had good season last year and played an important role for the title and he liked Istanbul, and since club wants him to stay it is likely he would be at the team.
