What happened in Turkish football today? 21/06/2022

Ali Koc has been elected as Clubs Union CEO.

Fenerbahce CEO Ali Koc has been elected as Clubs Union as it would be interesting to see how his reign would run since he has provided lots of criticism towards both Union and TFF.

Without doubt, Ali Koc has provided lots of criticism with some being right and some might not be to so, and now he has chance to show some support and provide some solutions to problems which he discusses lots of times. However, when finding solution to those problems he would need to work together both with TFF and other clubs, so should providing language which would be focussed more to finding solutions rather then criticising. Ali Koc has potentiality to achieve that but he needs to change tone.

Therefore, Ali Koc has an opportunity to find solutions to problems which he identified before that and time would show how successful he would be.

Fortuna Sittard signed 5-year contract with Burak Yilmaz.

Fortuna Sittard has signed Burak Yilmaz for 5-years among which 2-years would be as player and other 3 years at the technical staff member.

This contract also shows that Burak Yilmaz very likely would end his footballing career at the Fortuna Sittard during 2 years and also would start his coaching career in the same time as club has shown very strong trust towards of him. Meanwhile, Burak Yilmaz who has been criticised in his younger years for not going to Europe in earlier years of his career, has decided to end his career outside of Turkey. Burak Yilmaz even through does look tempo which he has shown as expected due of his age, still has strong potential to show top level game at the Dutch side.

With such contract Burak Yilmaz hence did secure his coaching career beginning as he would be able to get some good experience at Fortuna Sittard.

Standard Liege has declined Besiktas offer for Jackson Muleka.

Standard Liege are reported to be declining offer from Besiktas for Jackson Muleka as club shows strong interest towards him during this summer.

Jackson Muleka who has been loaned to Kasimpasa for half season in previous season and finding lots of goals, quite naturally has got lots of attention from number of clubs with also Besiktas but due of economical reasons needs to be careful with its offers. Hence, it has offered 2 million euro which it did found too low and it does look like team would need to raise if it wants to get him during this summer.

Besiktas likely to continue negotiations with Muleka and we would follow how it would be continue in our blog.
