What happened in Turkish football today? 10/06/2022

Turkey does come out as strong favourite but it would not be very easy.

Turkish National Team would be aiming to continue its undefeated run at the Nations League, League C Group 1 game against Luxembourg as it aims to score most amount of goals without conceding.

It needs to be stated that even through Turkey are coming as strong favourites and are expected to get another confident win, it needs to be reminded that it would be coming out to the most toughest opponent as Luxembourg also has won all games so far without conceding goal but has scored much more modest amount of goals with 3 goals. Luxembourg has been side which did improve in recent seasons and certainly did come from lowest level in the football and keeps on improving but still Turkey is being much more favourite especially with current form.

Turkey is expected to get most toughest game in this stage but in all honest it does look like Turkey would be good test of strength for Luxembourg than vice versa.

9 candidates has been announced for TFF CEO election.

9 candidates has announced their candidacy for TFF CEO election which would be taking place on 16th June even through there were only known to be 1 candidate after deadline yesterday.

With Mehmet Buyukeksi been highly discussed at the football media and been most known due of him being previous CEO of Gaziantep, other candidates has went into more quietly with names being unknown until TFF has announced them earlier. With Turkish football is going through difficult period both financially, referees and generally how game is been managed, upcoming CEO would have serious issues to solve and gain trust from different clubs both in top division and also below. This seems to biggest issue which needs to be done in upcoming 6 days for all candidates.

It does look like Mehmet Buyukeksi is coming out as strong favourite but he does need to convince many clubs of being able to solve all this issues.

Adana Demirspor signs Kevin Rodrigues for 3-years.

Adana Demirspor has signed Kevin Rodrigues for 3-years as it aims to become more competitive side for upcoming season.

Signing Rodrigues as free agent player, this player has been another addition to the club which could provide some important performance and push team into more competitive aims with focussing to be playing for European spots in upcoming season. This has been important transfer and signing him for 3-years does show that club is giving trust towards him for upcoming season. Another advantage is for player to join before pre-season training camp so he would have lots of time to get used to the side.

Adana Demirspor does have good squad right now but if it wants to fight for higher spots it does need to have some additions.
