What happened in Turkish football today? 13/06/2022

Turkey aims to continue its strong performance against Lithuania.

Turkish National Team are going to complete Nations League campaign during June games against Lithuania in Izmir as it aims to rise its scored from 12 and continue its unconceded campaign.

A week ago, Turkey did play against Lithuania in Vilnius where it has won with 6:0 scoreline which has been most calm and confident win in this campaign so far. Playing at home, there is high expectation from Turkey as Stefan Kuntz without doubt did bring some discipline and positive thinking performance to the team. Lithuania even through never been strong football nation, it did have much better days in its own history with ending some qualifiying tournaments at 3rd spots and therefore its being not in best days which Turkey likely be using to its own advantages.

Turkey once again is expected to dominate game possibily even scoring more than 6 goals to all respect to opponent without conceding.

Fatih Karagumruk has appointed Andrea Pirlo for 1-year.

Fatih Karagumruk has signed Andrea Pirlo for 1-year as club's head coach as side at first did gain very impressive deal with highly known and respected coach and previously player and contines to strength side with Italian connections.

One of the issues here which club might have though is that Andrea Pirlo is being hungry for high successes all the time and hence side aiming for highest spot to be 4th in the league could contradict with Pirlo as he is being winner both as player and coach. However, without doubt Pirlo knows and if not been explained that those aims being set by club and he did accept them. One thing is certain is that regardless how Fatih Karagumruk performs, it did one of the most biggest coaching appointments during this summer.

Andrea Pirlo would also likely request number of strong and great players but it is not clear if Fatih Karagumruk can afford to sign them.

Fenerbahce made deal with Lincoln Henrique

Fenerbahce has announced that it has signed Santa Clara player Lincoln Henrique as player has arrived to Istanbul for signing contract.

Fenerbahce new coach Jose Jesus has been specifically demanding to transfer Lincoln Henrique due of being aware of his potentiality back in Portugal and with Lincoln wanting to work with coach and compete potentially at Champions League made such transfer easy. Taking account that Santa Clara CEO being Turkish man did make transfer negotiations easier for sure from Ali Koc. Another advantage is that Lincoln Henrique did play at Rizespor before and is being familiar with Super League.

With Jesus focussing mainly to Portguese players or ones who have some connection with there, this has been first signing for club during this summer transfer window with more to come.
