Turkish National Team has ended its 4 game run with win against Lithuania.
Turkish National Team has completed Nations League June fixtures with successful note as been expected as it has won against Lithuania even through it needs to be noted that opponent did provide pretty good resistance.
Turkish National Team has continued its aim to score as much as it can during this 4 games period and not conceding any goals. Even through there were expectations for Turkey to score more than 2 goals, especially after beating same opponent away with 6 goals, it still managed to win game without conceding. It is true that Lithuania is not being opponent in level of Turkey, but it did show strong reaction to those games in positive manner and has shown full concentration and seriousness of the game, issue which been lacking at national side and also clubs when playing against weaker sides. Meanwhile, there must be given respect to Lithuania as they arrived to game on same day and travelled directly to stadium and has shown its best game which it could.
Turkey hence did get 4 out of 4 as planned without much issues and would very likely get Group B ticket in next game against Luxembourg in end of September.
Fenerbahce will have very tough games against Dinamo Kiev despite of issues which opponent country is going through.
Fenerbahce has been drawn against Dinamo Kiev during Champions League 2nd qualifying round as there is expectation for two tough games coming up in July.
With being realistic, it needs to be mentioned that Dinamo Kiev are coming out as favourites as unfortunately Ukrainian sides tend to get positive results against Fenerbahce and Turkish clubs in previous meetings. Analysing purely on field issue, Fenerbahce could be seen to be favourite due of opponent country been under Russian invasion which lacked and continue to lack side to train effectively, but as been seen from World Cup play-off games and Nations League this war has provided even more motivation and fighting spirit and since Dinamo Kiev contains looks of Ukrainians, including many who were in national side it would be two tough fixtures.
Opponent might be at difficult war both militarily and psychologically, but this should not be seen as advantage for Fenerbahce at all.
Konyaspor are coming out as favourites against BATE.
Konyaspor would be playing against BATE Borisov at Conference League 2nd qualifying round as Turkish side has realistic opportunities to get to the next stage of the tournament.
For some, seeing BATE as name playing against Konyaspor might scare of, but it needs to be mentioned that this side which did surprisingly show strong game at Europe in late 2000's is very far from that level and Konyaspor with squad quality does have much more chances against Belarussian opponents. Konyaspor still needs to make some additions to squad this summer prior to 1st leg as current squad is not too bad but might not be enough for European football. Meanwhile, 1st leg fixture location is still unclear due of UEFA sanctions due of Belarus supporting Russia of its invasion to Ukraine.
Konyaspor does have good chance against BATE Borisov but it needs to prepare throughly to its opponent for sure.
