Besiktas got well-fought deserved double in this season.
Besiktas got overly deserved Super League title and Turkish Cup with ending such difficult season with double which been played in difficult conditions in all of the aspects which been due both of the Covid19 circumstances and not very good scheduling from TFF.
40 games to be played by each team with 42 weeks by 21 sides would mean that this season would be tough one for all sides but with Besiktas it is being especially tough one due of the factor that it didnt have strongest squad compare to its direct title opponents and also did have very poor start of the season. Following 5th weeks it did look like Besiktas will be pretty far from title race, but following 2nd national team break it did return with total different motivation and performance of the side and turned around. Without doubt, whatever Sergen Yalcin did during that national team break, Besiktas did turn things around and start getting very important points with players like Cyle Larin, Vincent Aboubakar, Racchid Ghezzal among others did become star of the team with side providing incredible attacking game.
Its been well-fought season for Besiktas and with having some difficulties in such season did provide full focus for title and got it in the end despite of some worries in the end.
Unstable result costed Galatasaray title.
Galatasaray even through did been 2 goals behind for winning title in the end of the season, it needs to be noted that it did lose it due of unstable performance with one time winning back-to-back, losing frequently and also showing unstable streak.
Galatasaray did especially lose points when Fatih Terim wasnt on stands due of aggresive reactions and statements towards referees which did cost them without doubt points as their did lose 10 points in such games. Another factor which did play negative role without doubt has been poor performance in some games by defenders where it did lose some crucial important points and in fact been relegated from Turkish Cup. When looking towards end of the season side did mainly lose points after it did find enough goals against Besiktas and Denizlispor when it did get opportunities and hence did lose opportunities to get upper hand against Besiktas.
Galatasaray did have good season but this is unstable performance without doubt did prevent them to get title in the end.
Fenerbahce lost too many points at home.
It might look like Fenerbahce did lose title due of similar unstable result but in more reason been poor performance at home ground including penultimate against Sivasspor after which it lost chance to get into top.
This is being very interesting season for Fenerbahce as their got most points from away games in its history but in same time did lose most points at home for single season and importance of supporters even on empty seats does play important role when fighting for title. Another issue which been mainly due of Erol Bulut is for Fenerbahce not showing highly attacking game with letting opponent to control ball which even through did bring some points, in most time did lose them. This been most successful result for Ali Koc since being CEO but still would be seen as huge dissapointing as it ended without title. One of the issues for Fenerbahce also been lack of strong attackers which did bring low number of goals and this would be most focussed area during summer transfer window.
Fenerbahce did experience some leadership and alwas been directly at title race but its performance sadly didnt satisfy its supporters on the field during whole season.
