Besiktas become champions of 2020-21 Super League season.
Besiktas wins Turkish Super League 2020-21 season with beating Goztepe with 2:1 scoreline at Izmir with Racchid Ghezzal scoring winning goal in the moment when Galatasaray was at top position.
Besiktas did come into game which it needed to win and did start in such manner without doubt but after scoring its 1st goal but did psychological defensive side but even due of losing in previous 2 weeks it did manage to stay focus with providing strong attitude looking for winning goal as game been developing providing pressure especially rising this tempo when Galatasaray did go ahead during game against Yeni Malatyaspor which led from such pressure to find penalty goal from Racchid Ghezzal. When looking into whole season, even through Besiktas did create pressure towards end of the season with losing previous 2 games on previous game and did get win which it needed to get without doubt. Therefore, it should be noted that Besiktas did deserve to get this title when looking as whole season. This has been very up and down season for Besiktas especially with poor start of the season but it has always stayed focus for this title during whole season.
Meanwhile, it needs to be noted that Goztepe which did come out without much aims did provide much resistance and with showing strong attacking and organised game did provide some difficult moment which could cost title for Besiktas.
Besiktas did get league title for 2020-21 season which is being most longest and difficult season in its history and did get in deserved manner despite of some downs especially in the end of the season.
Galatasaray ended with 2 goals behind from league title.
Galatasaray did come to the last game with possibly for league title focussing into getting confident win but it needs to be noted with Yeni Malatyaspor providing strong resistance to them with Galatasaray also not providing strong attacking game.
Meanwhile, its important not to get wrong as Galatasaray did show strong attacking game with creating opportunities despite of some game getting to 1:1 scoreline and did been looking side for most time which been closer, but it didnt provide right focus for winning game. To some extend with Besiktas playing for long time with 1:1 scoreline also provided view to Galatasaray that ut would get title with only beating Yeni Malatyaspor but this hasnt been case without doubt. To some extend, Galatasaray did have opportunity to get upper hand at the head to head during game against Besiktas where 1 game scored during that game and later could have scored some more goals against Denizlispor but still it did show strong attitude fighting for title with one moment even getting into that position before Besiktas did make 3:1 scoreline. Galatasaray did have great end of the season but been literally with 2 goals from winning title.
Yeni Malatyaspor meanwhile didnt provide performance which would allow Galatasaray to score high number of goals and did provide very good game against their opponents to which Besiktas for sure would be thankful for them.
Galatasaray did show strong character in last 2 weeks finding themselves very close for title but did lose with being away for title with 2 goals short.
Fenerbahce couldnt focus to this game after losing last week despite of win.
Fenerbahce has ended with 2:1 win against Kayserispor with finding 2 goals in the last minute when it didnt matter most and most amount of time didnt show performance which showed signs that side wanted to win.
Losing to Sivasspor during previous game without doubt did have negative impact to the team as it did have issue with focussing entirely into Kayserispor which did come out to game to the game with focussing into point/s with having risk of being relegated but this didnt happen as Genclerbirligi lost to Kayserispor which also could describe for them to concede in the end of the game 2 goals. Still, there was moment in start of 2nd half where there been hope for Fenerbahce to get title as Galatasaray were losing and Besiktas drawing but it didnt show right reaction which showed both side and Emre Belozoglu were not motivated and strongly believing it would get title.
Kayserispor on they part did showed strong organised focussing to getting 1 point with getting some good opportunities not giving signs of Fenerbahce to get into motivated and with Trabzonspor winning Genclerbirligi would be staying at Super League for next season.
Fenerbahce did lose with losing to Sivasspor as it lost to opportunity to enter this week as leaders and with other result coming up this ended being formality win.
