What happened in Turkish football today? 22/03/2020

It is unlikely for season to be resumed on 17th April

Following decision to postpone Super League season due of Covid-19 outbreak, new conversation and discussing topic in Turkish football is when league will be restarted and in what way it would be played.

However, an issue being here is even through its important to set preliminary date of start with taking account for teams to be able to train session, earliest date does look to be 17th April. However, when looking in this realistically as current there are 974 reported cases with 21 deaths, it does look to be unlucky for it to start on this date. With CEO's of clubs being aware that it might be case and even through many of them decline this factor, it is clear that play-off option is on the table with Club's Union CEO Mehmet Sepil, does state it is being seen as opportunity. However, as been noted possibility for how season would be concluded if it would be concluded in any way depends how virus acts in Turkey as there is even possibility of it being impossible to end season right now, which by itself would provide other issues and provide questions if it would be able to be competed.

Besiktas CEO Ahmet Nur Cebi right now seems to be best view by stating that most crucial thing for virus to be defeated and after decision for rest of the season would be made.

Jeremain Lens has requested to travel to Holland but recieved decline.

Number of players are continuing for providing request to leave on their homeland with latest coming from Besiktas player request to go to Holland but as expected administration declined him.

Without doubt it is very important to stay in Turkey due of quarentine issues both in their own country and after their arrive which could lead for them to have issues when leagues would be restarted. Good news from reports at least, that even through some foreign players does send request their now showing resistance following that and carry on training session at home. In fact, their might be some more attempts from some players in upcoming days but their would get less in upcoming days realising and accepting that it would be reasonable for them to stay in Turkey and at home during this period.

As soon as players expect to stay in Turkey and important as easier it would be for them to get through such tough period in quarentine for sure.

Players will continue workout at home

One of the most important issues in this period is to make sure that players would stay fit and healthy during this period while staying at home.

As been noted beforehand, clubs are sending training session to players and suggestion of diet which would provide them possibility either to stay in same condition or dont provide much changes as their are now and before quarentine so it would be important for them to carry on. Currently clubs technical staff is reported is taking account all of the possibilities of how virus will affect to resume of the league and hence would be provided in training session with focussing highly for players continue training programmes at home.

Therefore, main focus is to make sure players comeback at good form with least affect possibly into health and physics towards players.
