Galatasaray experience has helped to control game against Sivasspor.
Galatasaray has ended its 8-game winning series of game against Sivasspor during Super League 25th week game, but taking account that its best their direct opponent during title race and also them not losing at home this could be seen as good outcome.
Galatasaray as been noted in yesterday blog entry did start game in surprisingly poor manner without getting into chances within 10 minutes as their opponents has managed to get 2-3 dangerous chances and scoring crucial goal on 7th minute, but after conceding goal with also Sivasspor mentally went into defensive style of game has led for them to get control of the game with creating chances and scoring 2 goals before breakup. This reaction to 2:1 did play role of experience of being in title race compare to their opponents. In fact, when looking at game entirely from start to end its hard to state, especially during 2nd half, Galatasaray did provide strong dominance but ability to control such condition went into advantage of which did help them both during this game and could give some points during last 9 games in season when among physical game would also play role psychologically.
Even through Galatasaray did lose unwanted 2 points it needs to be noted that it did get draw among most difficult away games this season and manage to stay at title race.
Its important for Sivasspor to believe that it can win title.
When excluding period of 10-45th minute in the game against Galatasaray, it could be stated that Sivasspor did provide strong performance and even through it would be hard to state that this performance could be enough for title, their attitude to game does show that team believes at winning title.
Quite possibly main reason for Sivasspor to lose game however been for mentally going into defence after scoring goal which is been purely from defence as Riza Calimbay states that from side he did tell players to carry on showing attacking football. Sivasspor still managed to get this important 1 point with showing big change mentally during 2nd half as it started showing an attacking game after break which led them to get penalty kick which their didnt convert it. After that Sivasspor even through quite logically continued with defence but did show some good attempts with counter-attacks with just missing most crucial aspect of providing last touch towards goal. Still, it needs to be stated that Sivasspor did get crucial points as it would have period of playing with teams outside of title race while its opponents would play against each other, factor which could lead for title for them.
Sivasspor are providing right attitude and its crucial for them to provide high focus towards believing it can win title in May.
Trabzonspor has requested for Gaziantep game to be repeated
Trabzonspor has send request to TFF calling to repeat entirely Super League 25th week game for ending game too early on additional time as referee added 5 minutes but ended after 2 minutes of playing time.
Even through during 2nd half 8 minutes has been added, Trabzonspor stated that due of complaints of penalty kick which been recieved to Gaziantep, VAR control, penalty kick itself and goal celebration has took 6 minutes. It needs to be noted that Trabzonspor are technically right and with this game having direct impact into title race, it could be expected with such decision which was given. However, it is not logical to request to repeat whole game as prior to additional time everything went as planned and didnt to some extend have direct impact. Therefore, if anything should be done is to repeat last 5 minutes of the game which obviously will not be seen as logical decision and willingness for all parties. This is being mistake of rule but how much it affects to final scoreline, is being questionable as it is not clear since we only assuming Trabzonspor could score goal in this period(even through it would be argued for no goal to happen or Gaziantep to score 3rd goal likeliness is same).
Therefore, the game is likely not to be repeated due of this only 5 minutes which is being unclear how would it developed.
