Roma has once again showed it class against Basaksehirspor
Even through Basaksehirspor did come out as leaders of the group at Europa League game against Roma and also with full confidence, Roma in sense quality and experience has been clear favourite and it has shown that with getting win with 3:0 scoreline.
Taking account that Roma needed to win this game urgently, it was clear that Basaksehirspor would need to provide careful performance from start of the game until final whistle of the game, and to some extend it did achieve to do that during 1st 30 minutes as it only conceded its first goal on 28th minute from penalty kick. However, with conceding goal Basaksehirspor did fail to provide right reaction and started to provide much more weaker performance in defence which has led for their opponents to find other 2 goals. It would be possibly be too harsh to criticise too much Basaksehirspor when their is such big gap between sides in sense of quality but team could provide much more defensive performance. It should be stated that Basaksehurspor does need to get lessons from today's performance which it would be needed in very important game for them against Borussia Monchengblach and also possibly at knockout stages.
In similar manner as in previous game, Roma did provide its class with its performance against Basaksehirspor and has got leadership at the group and very close for knockout stages.
Despite of loss, Basaksehirspor is being only Turkish club at Europa League which has chances to get knockout stages as long as Borussia Monchengblach during last game at the group stage.
Besiktas got its 1st win at Europa League with good performance in 2nd half.
Even through Besiktas has been relegated from Europa League prior to two weeks it was still important for them to get win both for prestige, country ranking but mainly to carry on its winning habit which it got at Super League.
It has been noted from several football followers prior to game that despite of negative European season for Besiktas, it was important for Besiktas to provide good performance and get win. But it needs to be noted that it didnt start game in that manner as it lost 1st half when conceding goal. Quite possibly club head coach Abdullah Avci has stated to its players and motivated them to get win and satisfy its fans. Despite of all negative aspects it was still important win to make fans satisfied. Stating that winning goal did come from penalty goal from Adem Ljajic during last minute so it has been also lucky to some extend to get this outcome even through it was penalty which it got. It still needs to be noted that team did provide strong positive performance during 2nd half and even through opponent wasnt strong it did play against team which did need to win which does make it clear in what significance this win takes.
Slovan Bratislava which did come out with some chances for Europa League did start game with that in mind providing strong controllable game in 1st half but didnt carry on such manner in 2nd half.
Besiktas did get its 1st win in Europa League this season as it could be seen too late but club followers would be satisfied that team showed good game during 2nd half.
Trabzonspor had another dissapointing night at Europa League.
Trabzonspor has lost to Getafe during Europa League 5th week with 1:0 scoreline and therefore has lost any chances to get to the knockout stages as it has stayed with 1 point and did provide poor performance during this group stage.
With Trabzonspor coming to this game arleady with low chances to get into knockout and playing its last game at home ground in competition this season, there was small expectation that team could provide some good performance with an aim for prestige and also contributing to country points, but it has failed to do so. It also needed to be seen that head coach likely did see this game not very important focussing more into Galatasaray game in Super League as he did come out with young players providing them chances to get some experience in European football and possibly preparing them for next season in Europe. It could be noted that Trabzonspor did put domestic league as foremost and this without doubt did affect to performance of team in Europe. Still to some extend, in this game youngsters did provide good performance but still it didnt get into level which was expected from them
In other hand, Getafe did get important win and got into strong advantage to get out from group with having some advantage with providing some good performance in this game and during whole competition.
